Chapter 9- Changing




--CONNOR POV--




With Rose on my back, I carried her on my shoulder. Damn, she weighed like a leaf. What does she eat?




"CONNOR PEREZ! Put me down!" I heard her yell. I laughed. "That's not happening" I said simply before turning into my wolf. My wolf was brown with black stripes. My wolfs eyes had blue mixed with yellow.




I started running through the woods, with Rose on my back. She clasped my fur as I ran. I heard her angelic laugh echo through the woods. I smiled. She laughed because of me. Me. Connor Perez. Ok, I sound like some chick. I'm so whipped. I looked to my side to see that James has also changed in to his wolf. His wolf is colored full black. His belly however has the color white. I caught a glimpse at Rose, she raised her arms in the air, her hair flying everywhere. The sun outline her figure, even her hair. It was breath taking. I watched her, laughing and smiling. My smiled couldn't have gotten any bigger, well that is, when I bump into a tree.




--ROSE POV--




I rode on Connors back as he ran like the wind through the woods. I laughed as James tripped, he glared at me but I sent him a cheeky smile. In the corner of my eyes, I could see Connor watching me. His eyes twinkled. I smiled at him. He grinned back. All was going well until Connor bumped into a tree, which sent me flying. I looked down at the ground, heck!




"AHHHH!!!" I screamed. I closed my eyes, embracing impact. I waited and waited. Nothing. I opened one eye, I looked around. Huh? I opened both eyes looking around. I'm just floating on thin air, no biggy. WAIT! IM FLOATING ON MID AIR!! I looked down and found James and Connor looking up at me, panicking. I would be laughing my head off right now, but I couldn't. I looked around once more and found a figure in the distance. The figure was watching me....freaky.




James and Connor trailed my look and guarded me. The figure stepped forward. A cape shielding his or her face. Connor growled, so did James. I looked back at the stranger but the stranger wasn't there. Huh? Where did the stranger go?




"Rose Carter?" A deep voice boomed, shocking everyone. I stood still. I felt myself slowly move, I looked down, I was......slowly being placed on the ground? "Are you Rose Carter?" The same deep voice boomed. The stranger must be a he. "You are in grave danger" he said stepping forward while removing his hood. I looked at him confused. What did he mean?




"Why?" I asked hesitantly. James and Connor on my side, quietly talking. "You hold something worth living, child" he said. Stepping forward. He looked older than all of us. Who is he? "What's that?" I asked a little bit eagerly. He shook his head. "Not here. This isn't a place for secrets. I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Professor Scott Laine. Nice meeting you, Rose. We will meet again, I will send a message to you..." He bowed before handing me a card. "If you need anything, call me" in a blink of an eye, he was gone. I looked at Connor and James. Amazed expressions written on their faces.




"Let's go. We can't stay here any longer, it can be dangerous" I stated, looking the woods being cautious. Clear. Both boys nodded before changing into their wolves. I jumped on James' back. Connor looked at me...well glared more like it. I just shrugged. I patted James head. "Go" I commanded. I looked back to see, a figure standing there. But before I could investigate any further, in a flash, the figure was gone.




All through the ride, I can feel Connor look at me, like in quick glances. I eyed him before giving up. "Stop James" I stated. He stopped, looking at me. I nodded my head towards Connor who was looking at me confused. James nodded before lying down and low enough for me to get off. I got on Connor back. He flashed smile before riding. Every now and then he would smile or grin at me.




Typical mate.




'Yeah typical but you love him' my wolf teased.




'I do. But I'm still questioning, should we go out with him?' I asked her. I can feel her nods vigorously.




'HECK YES!' Her yell echoed in my ear.




'Damn girl! Calm down' I stated, shaking my head. While Rolling my eyes.




We came to a stop. School. Ugh. "Can we go home?" I asked them. They just shrugged before running again.




I need to meet Professor Scott.




I need to know information.




I needed to know what I hold.
