"So what do we do now?" Adrian asked her, unsure of how to go about this friendship.

"Well," Claire paused and slipped on her bag before closing her locker and turning to him. "If you want, we could continue the letters. I mean, if that's how you feel comfortable, sure, but if not, then we could continue in real life too not that letters isn't real life but that's besides the point i just don't wanna make it awkward for you but I really don't mind you know, either one suits me, so..." She drifted off and felt embarrassed that she was rambling again.

"I was definitely right," Adrian said with a smile on his face, "seeing you ramble in person is the best."

She rolled her eyes as she zipped up her parka. "I suppose my rambling would be the only reason you might just want to continue this friendship in person." She joked.

"Maybe."

She looked up at Adrian's blue eyes for a bit before shaking her head and smiling. "Don't you have a job to get to?"

"Yeah."

"If you wanna avoid the stampede when the bell rings, you better hurry up."

"Are you not going home?"

"Not yet, I need to get all the two days worth of work from my teachers." She said and sulked. "Gotta face the consequences of skipping school."

He smiled at her before nodding and taking a step back. "Alright, I'll see you when I see you."

"Bye." Claire gave a small wave and looked away, waiting for him to turn his back so she could look up again.

She couldn't process what had just happened. Seeing 'Anonymous' in person seemed so unreal. He was very open and free about his feelings in the letters. But in person, she couldn't even tell he was depressed. He may have had a lonely look in his eye but it wasn't always there. It came and left. However, his confident frontier and unsure interior was something she saw in both letters and in person today. And his teasing; he sure liked to point out anything embarrassing on her part.

And honestly, she didn't know what to expect when she would finally meet him. She wondered several nights whether it would actually end up being the janitor, or a teacher, or someone who didn't even go to the school. Albeit, she may have overthought just a bit.

But Adrian was none of those, he was an ordinary high school boy. He had black, short hair and blue eyes. He was a good, head taller than Claire. Freckles littered his cheekbones and nose, but they weren't that noticeable since his skin was a bit tan. He wasn't built like a football player, but he wasn't muscle-less either. He said he was a swimmer, and he had a good swimming body shape.

Overall, Claire was more than grateful that he hadn't ended up being a creep. But she was overjoyed over the fact that she finally got to see him. Just the aspect of seeing him made her day so much brighter. And the thought of seeing him again tomorrow, excited her even more.
With thoughts of Adrian clouding her mind as she made her way to all of her teachers, Claire hadn't even acknowledged the nine missed calls on her phone from her Dad.
