"That one girl you like calling your 'ex-friend' came up to me today." Adrian said, as he plopped down on the seat in the library in front of Claire's.
"Hello to you, too." She replied, putting the work she was working on down.
"She asked about you."
"I'm fine, thanks for asking. How about you?" She asked, continuing along with her facade.
"She asked if you were okay. And I told her to ask you herself."
"You should've just said I was fine." She said and then got a bit lost in thought. "Why did she ask anyways?"
"I actually thought I'd ask you that."
"Beats me." Claire said, looking back down at her work to avoid looking into Adrian's eyes. She had a pretty good feeling why Lexi asked Adrian that.
