"That's everything?" Adrian asked.
"Uh, yeah. Why?" Claire asked. "It's not sad enough or something?" She said, laughing half-heartedly.
"No, not like that. Just making sure that what you wrote is all of it. Is it?"
She stayed silent. How did he know that there was more?
"I'm not going to force you to tell me, I'm not that much of a jerk."
She still stayed silent.
"But I still want to know. So you know, whenever you feel ready, I'm here."
