You waited until you're sure enough he is asleep. You carefully crawled out of his bed and went to your room. You called Jenny and she answered immediately.

"Oh! Thank God you called! I've been itching to call you, you crazy brat! Are you okay? Where's your boyfriend? You're everywhere, Y/N! Thanks to that cap your identity is still unknown to the fans!" She blurted out.
"Unnie, can I stay with you?" You asked her calmly.
"Wae?! Ofcourse! I'll make sure you're safe here from sasaeng fans! Do you want me to pick you up right now?" She sounds so worried.
"No. No. I'll go there later. I just wanted to know if it's fine with you."
"I don't mind, but are you ok? Wait. Are you gonna live here from now on?"
"I'll explain everything to you later. Thanks, unnie!"
"No problem! Just call me again if you need anything else."

You ended the call. You decided to open one of your social media accounts and an article of you and S.coups immediately came out. Jenny's right. Your identity is still unknown but the fans have proven it's really Seungcheol. Many fans posted different pics as proofs. Pictures of you playing arcade games with him. Pictures of your kiss. Pictures of you two eating. Even pictures of you walking to the parking lot.

There are a lot of hateful comments. "Such an irresponsible leader! Telling a lie just to go to an arcade with some girl!", "When Jun oppa said he's sick, I got worried! Now that I know the truth, I'm mad!", "Why is he even dating an ugly girl?", "He should really leave Seventeen! He's very disappointing!", "He doesn't care about the boys. He's so selfish!", "S.coups oppa cheated on me with a stupid-looking potato!".

You want to think this is just a joke and you can just laugh at it. However, it isn't. You know how much Seungcheol loves the boys, how he treats them like his own family. You know how much he wants to be on stage and perform. And you can't stand being the only barrier between him and his dream. You browsed your contacts and dialled the first number you saw.

"Annyeong, Y/N-ah. Why did you call? It's too early for you to be awake." He said.
"Were you sleeping, oppa? I'm sorry." You asked him as you wiped away your tears.
"No. I was just...practicing. You need anything?"
"Well, can we meet up?"
"Yeah. Sure. You know the convenience store near the building, right? I'll wait there."
"Yes. Thanks, oppa!"

You immediately changed clothes as soon as the call ended. You quickly went to the convenience store where he is waiting. The street outside look a little crowded now. Almost all the vehicles are from the media. He 's already waiting for you just outside the store.

"Here. Wear this. I don't want you to get sick again." Dino put his cap on you. You want to believe him but something tells you he actually knows the media might see you here.
"Thanks, oppa. I'm sorry for making you go out here. I know what's going on. BUT please don't tell the boys especially Seungcheol!" You told him as you enter the store.
"You know?!" He asked you as you both sat.
"Ofcourse! You can't hide anything from me, oppa! Now, I want you to know that I'm..."

Your tears started falling again as you spoke. Dino grabbed your hands and rubbed your back to comfort you.

"Don't cry, Y/N-ah! Look. It's going to be fine soon. I promise. Seungkwan hyung and Hansol hyung are going to release a single to get the media's and the fans' attention away from this." He tried to comfort you. You took a deep breath as your tears kept flowing.
"I'm leaving him, oppa."

Chan froze for a moment. He can't believe what he just heard. He doesn't want to.

"S.coups hyung?! WAE?!" He held your shoulders and made you face him.
"I know about the meeting, that he needed to choose."
"BUT HE CHOSE YOU!" He almost shouted.
You shook your head. "It doesn't matter. I choose this for him. This is better. You guys need him. The fans want him. And, this is his dream. He has always wanted this. He trained for years to debut and be with you guys. He loves making his fans happy."
"But you can't just leave him! You're his inspiration!"
"I'm just one of the Carats who have always been his inspiration, oppa. I'm sorry. I just think I need to tell this to someone. Can you keep this secret, oppa?"
"Do I have to?" You nodded as an answer. "Ok. I will. But please tell where I can find you. I want to talk to you every now and then. And if I can, I will persuade you to stay."
"I will. Thank you, oppa! You can now go back to the building. There are reporters outside. They might see you."
"Ok. Take care, Y/N-ah. Hyung really loves you you know. We all love you. I hope you know that. We feel sorry you have to do this for us and Carats." He told you as he stood up to go.
"I know. And don't be. I chose this. I'll try my best to cope with it. Tell the boys I love them and I'm sorry for causing this chaos."
"Aish, Y/N-ah. This isn't your fault. Maybe it's wrong that hyung lied to date you but...all you did is love him. Goodbye, Y/N-ah. Take care. We love you." He hugged you before going back to the company building.

You went back home to pack your things while S.coups is still asleep. You cried and cried. You went back to his room after and kissed his cheek. The doorbell suddenly rang. It's still early. Who would visit you early in the morning?
