Chapter 39 - Motherly instinct

Just as a heads up I have done a large skip over the summer and Sept. & Oct. because the only way this chapter would work is if I did it. Sorry.

Chapter 39

Motherly instinct

Anya was very big now and was not coming into the office. Instead she was staying at her flat that she shared with Paul. It was November and everyone in the office was nervous because we all knew that the baby was coming soon.

My channel had grown and I had split away from just Minecraft, I still played it and made videos of it but I had started playing console games and people where liking them, I now had 400,000 subs. I had talked to Mickey a couple times over the phone and Skype, he was in Florida because of his dads job. I still was dating Nifer in, lets say secret, and Owen was 'dating' Jesse which brought laughs and cringes to my and Alan's faces, Tony didn't really care and was confused why we had mixed feeling about them.

I was sitting in my office editing a new video when I heard Dad yelling for Mum to start the car "Whats going on?" I asked when I saw him speeding after Mum down the hall "Anya says she's ready" he said hastily "How does she know" I asked immediately and Dad said "Motherly instinct" before leaving quickly. I followed him into the car and we drove as fast as we could to Anya's flat and Mum ran up the stairs accompanied by Dad after they told me to stay in the car.

After the hurried car drive to the hospital that was punctured by Anya's pained screams, the doctors got her into a room and I took up my regular post outside the room beside Mum while Dad talked to the series of nurses that came in and out. "What's wrong?" Mum asked me when she noticed my sad expression "Paul's not here" I murmured "Everyone said he'd be okay and that he'd be here but he's not" Mum put her arm around me in a half hug "Im sure he'll be fine" she said and although I couldn't see her I knew she was tearing up.

It took who knows how long until the doctor came out bearing the first smile I'd seen him give. Mum and Dad stood up and I looked at him hopefully "Is she okay?" Mum asked nervously "She's fine" the doctor said "they both are" Mum and Dad smiled and I inwardly celebrated "Would you like to see them?" He asked and my parent nodded after turning to me "I'll go after" I murmured and the headed in. I went in when they came out and what I saw warmed my heart; Anya was sitting up, propped against many pillows and holding a little bundle in her arms "Hello" I said quietly and smiled, she smiled back at me "Would you like to see?" She asked and I nodded and walked closer. The baby was small and it's eyes where still closed, it had a small shock of dark ginger hair like Paul's "Have you thought of a name?" I asked and she smiled and nodded "Me and Paul decided on two names. His is Seamus" "It's a boy then" I said quietly "What about if he was a girl?" "Clare." The blonde said and smiled at her baby "I'm glad you see Paul everyday" she said and it took me aback "I can't get away from my family at the moment." "It's not a problem" I said and mumbled in audible words "Thank you" she repeated and I smiled. I quickly said goodbye and left the room to rejoin my parents and we left the hospital. I was smiling like a small child.

For those who wanted Paul to wake up for the baby: I'm sorry! But I have a really good idea that I think you might want to dust off your poker faces for ;)

Also I am aware of Paul and Anya no longer being in a relationship and I have six words to this: It will not affect the plot.
