There was a moment of silence before Josh ran towards him, arms wide open because there was nothing he wanted to do more than hold him tightly. Not for a specific reason but more for the combination and assembly of everything that boy had done which had gone completely unnoticed by him. For the constant burning feeling of regret, that howls in his mind every time he thinks back to the last thing he's ever really said to Tyler.
When Josh closes his arms, he notices that he's hugging thin air. His eyes flutter open and he looks in front of him, noticing the empty room.
"Tyler? Where did you go?"
"Josh."
Josh spun around quickly to find Tyler sitting at the end of his bed and looking down at the ground.
"I told you, you can't touch me."
"But-"
"We can't do this."
"Wait, no, stop!"
"I'm sorry."
Tyler got up and walked to the door, Josh froze in place.
"Tyler, I can't lose you again, please."
"I'm sorry, Josh, I'm not strong enough."
Tyler didn't wait another moment, he simply walked away, disappearing yet another time. That's when Josh collapsed to the floor, hitting both his knees as he fell, unable to move, think or breathe.
