~Ashton's POV~

After we all agreed to read it I slowly opened the envelope. There were 2 things in it. The first thing I pulled out was $50 where did she get that from? Did she have a job? Then I pulled out the other thing, it was a note. I started to read it in my head as the boys looked at me, as I got to the bottom my face dropped.

"Ash what is it? Is it something bad?" Luke looked at me with big eyes.

"Uh d-depends on how you take it." My voice was getting really shaky. Was it really her? I thought something was weird when we were there.

"Can I just read it out loud Ash?" Mikey asked with his hand out waiting for the letter. I just handed him the letter, they were going to find out eventually. "Ok let's start.
Dear Megan,
We are going to miss you, hope you have a good life. And there was so much that I wanted to tell you that I never got to. For example the boys and I love you, as a sister/daughter. It was amazing hanging out with you. Please don't forget us.
~Ashton" Mikey stopped, they all looked at me. Why me? I did t know about this letter, I mean now that I think about it I remember that day, writing the letter everything but I didn't know this was her.

"Ash, when did you write this?" Luke looked at me, a lot more serious then he normally is. His eyes didn't leave mine.

"I-i wrote it when she got out of the hospital. After that accident." My eyes started to water, why? Why would she pretend she didn't know who we were? Before we could continue we heard footsteps I grabbed the note and hid it. "Guys pretend like we don't know, ok?" They couldn't answer because Megan came down.

~Megan's POV~

I could hear them talking but when I started walking down the stairs everything went quite. They all were staring at me when I came downstairs. It was awkward, sure I knew tons about them and stuff but they didn't know anything about me, or as far as they know.

"So, Megan. Do you want to go unpack and then we can go shopping?" Ashton looked at me waiting for an answer, "I can even help you unpack." I accepted his offer and we headed upstairs.

"Where did that envelope go?" I whispered to myself, digging through my bag. I hope no one at the orphanage took it, or worse the boys found it. No there is no way, people always went through my stuff at the orphanage that's probably where it is.

"Envelope?" Ashton looked confused. I forgot Ash was in here.

"Nothing, it doesn't matter." I just gave him a light smile and hung my bag on the hook that was on the door. This room was amazing. I mean size wise, there was nothing else in it besides a bed and some furniture, but that's all I needed.

"Hey sweetie, we can get some stuff for your room while we're gone to if you want. Get some paint, posters, decorations, CD players, ect." Ash sat next to me and rubbed my back.

"Ok," I just smiled. I know I didn't want to get adopted by them but they care so much and it's just an amazing feeling to have.

"Let's head downstairs sweetie, the boys are going to wonder what's taking us so long." And with that we got up and walked downstairs. When we got down the stairs Mikey jumped out and grabbed me, then he threw me over his shoulder and walked out. We all hopped in the car and sped off. There was an awkward silence until Calum turned the radio on. It was one of my favorite songs, and of course it just happened to be by the boys. I started singing along quietly,

They would yell, they would scream, they were fighting it out
She would hope, she would pray, she was waiting it out
Holding onto a dream
While she watches these walls fall down
Sharp words like knives, they were cutting her down
Shattered glass like the past, it's a memory now
Holding onto a dream
While she watches these walls fall down
Hey mom, hey dad
When did this end?
Where did you lose your happiness?
I'm here alone inside of this broken home
Who's right, who's wrong
Who really cares?
The fault, the blame, the pain's still there
I'm here alone inside of this broken home, this broken home
Wrote it down on the walls, she was screaming it out
Made it clear, she's still here, are you listening now?
Just a ghost in the halls
Feeling empty, they're vacant now
All the battles, all the wars, all the times that you've fought
She's the scar, she's the bruises, she's the pain that you brought
There was life, there was love
Like a light and it's fading out
Hey mom, hey dad
When did this end?
Where did you lose your happiness?
I'm here alone inside of this broken home
Who's right, who's wrong
Who really cares?
The fault, the blame, the pain's still there
I'm here alone inside of this broken home, this broken home
You've gotta let it go, you're losing all your hope
Nothing left to hold, locked out in the cold
You painted memories then washed out all the scenes
I'm stuck in between a nightmare and lost dreams
Hey mom, hey dad
When did this end?
Where did you lose your happiness?
I'm here alone inside of this broken home
Hey mom, hey dad
When did this end?
Where did you lose your happiness?
I'm here alone inside of this broken home
Who's right, who's wrong
Who really cares?
The fault, the blame, the pain's still there
I'm here alone inside of this broken home
This broken home
