On Purpose

The long wait.

"Welcome to mount ski lodge. Now everyone get off and follow topanga inside there's a time limit."Corey demands.

Maya starts to feel sick to her stomach and continues to sit down. She puts her face in her hands and groans.

"You okay?"Josh crouches down to her.

"Maya happens to get car sick."Riley informs him.

"Here I'll help her."Aaron moves and helps her stand.

Josh glares at him. "No I'm supposed to help out, that's why I'm here."

"Fine, I'll see you later Maya." Aaron gives josh a dirty look and then walks away

"Okay, I'm just going to pick you up."Josh pushes her bag to the side and lifts her over his shoulder.

"Put me down."She mumbles tiredly.

"Nope, you can't even move without looking like you want to barf."

"Boing charming."She jokes.

Josh chuckles as he carries her inside with Riley following behind.

He puts her down on the couch. "I'm gonna go get our bags." He walks away.

Riley sits next to her."Maya I'm terribly sorry about everything. I'm the worst best friend ever." She tears up.

"Riles calm down, it's not like I'm dying."She mumbles.

"I know I just feel so guilty. I should have just been honest and told you that I still had feelings for Lucas."

"I'm not mad, just sick, I think I'm gonna throw up."Maya puts her hand over her mouth quickly and runs for the nearest bathroom.

Riley sighs and looks down. "Everything okay?"Lucas sits next to her.

"Maya's car sick, it happens every time."Riley shrugs.

"No I meant with us?"

"Oh."She blushes. "Yeah I actually wanted to tell her about it but as you can see she ran for her life." She jokes.

"Okay I'm good now."Maya groans. "Never felt this sick since the time I ate 3 hotdogs and went on that roller coaster."

Riley chuckles. "Are you still mad at me?"

"No I can get over a whole boy situation." Maya sticks her hand out and shows her the ring.

Riley smiles wide. "I love you, Maya."

"Love you too riles. Now, I'm gonna go talk to Josh. I was a bit rude to him so I should go apologize."

She walks out and waits for Josh by the porch.

"I put your bag inside."He yawns.

"I just wanted to apologize for being so rude to you. I did a lot of thinking and I shouldn't have taken my anger out on you or Riley."

He raises a brow. "Well thank you and that was a very mature way of thinking."

"I just don't know what has gotten into me lately but I'm pretty sure I don't like Lucas." She chuckles.

"How'd you figure that out?"

"Well first off I wanted to punch him in the face a couple times." She jokes. "But Riley means so much to me and I could never get in the way of what she wants."

"That's the thing about you, Maya. You were willing to lose who you were just so you could make sure that Lucas was right for Riley."He points out.

"She's a very important person in my life." Maya nods.

"Also I thought that if you weren't yourself and you continued to like Lucas that you would forget who you actually did like."

Maya looks at him confused. "Jealous?"

He chuckles and nods. "For a second yeah."

Maya could feel the nerves kicking in as she blushes. "Well I like you Josh, I always have."

Josh locks eyes with her and moves closer. "I like you too and I never want you to not be in my life."

She starts to giggle uncontrollably and leans in.

All of a sudden a phone goes off making Josh and Maya jump away.

"It's my phone." Josh looks down at it and sighs.

"You alright?" Maya wonders.

"It's Mariah..........She wants to get back together."
