             I begging to thrash and twist under my mate. This can't be happening! No way, not now.

"Let me go!" I snarl. I make sure to put every ounce of disgust in this man into my words. It's sad if you think about it, I've just met this man and I already can't stand him.

He looks startled at my anger. "Why should I?" He asks, with an eyebrows raised.

"Because I don't want you." I state coldly.

Hurt flashes through his bright golden eyes. I know that my words have cut a wound deep into his chest and ego, but to be perfectly honest I could care less.

"Do you know who I am?" He growls with a raised eyebrow.

"No, should I?" I ask with a glare. His eyes narrow at my disrespect.

The man chuckles sinisterly before getting off me. I watch him cautiously as he retreats away from me. I slowly stand up-not once breaking eye contact. I can't see him any clearer but I know he is tall; maybe six foot. His shadow casts over me as a shield.

"I'm very surprised you don't know who I am," my mate says with a tone I couldn't explain. "Should I?" I ask daringly. My mate moves a little closer but not close enough to make me back away. "Why yes, you should. I mean after all I did slaughter your father right before your eyes." My mate sneers wickedly.

My heart screams in pain as it races wildly like a beast. I stare dumbfounded at the shadow. This male; my mate, is the killer who slaughtered my pack members and my father. This man put m mother in a dark, sick trance. This man is behind all the pain and torture my pack and myself have suffered from. He's the monster who destroyed my life.

"Y-you," I stutter unable to find any words to say.

"Hello darling, allow me to introduce myself, I am alpha Jay pierce, alpha of the pierce pack. Ring a bell?"

I allow his words to process in my brain as I stand before this killer. He killed my father, destroyed my childhood, stole my mothers sanity, he's a monster.

'Run!' My wolf yells sharply in my head. For once, I oblige and take off running. But before I was out of hearing I caught what he said.

"I will be back for you Maddison Holt, I promise you that."

I scream loudly and clutch my head as I ccontinue to run.

"I will be back for you Maddison Holt, I promise you that." The words became on repeat as I shook my head violently causing me to topple over a fallen tree. I fall onto my back with a harsh thud, my head smacks the ground and in an instant I'm out cold.

Yet his words still haunt my head.
