It wasn't that hard to search for him when his scythe was engulfed in differently colored flames as if showing off if I hadn't known better but what made me blurt trouble was because of how many demons surrounded him. There were at least two dozens and even if there were Shingu's undead soldier demons to help him out, they were useless.

They weren't dying but they couldn't kill or damage the demons who for some reason, were in a competition for Leirum's head or something. It looked like that since they were literally swarming him in droves.

"Damn it! Get out of my way!" We heard Leirum's thunderous roar and my comrades immediately took cover the moment we saw a hint of him using his demonic scythe, however, even if I planned to take cover myself... I sensed Leirum's energy considerably dropping and I irritably bit the inside of my cheeks in frustration.

"To hell with it!" I angrily hissed and flew toward him, my hands over my head as blood showered over me and I evaded the bodies that fell but eventually turned to ashes mid air.

"Your a damn idiot for over working yourself." I hissed at him, just in time when he faltered in the air and nearly lost his balance, good thing I managed to wrap an arm around him as support.

"Look at you! You've got so many wounds!" I screamed when I saw that he was practically covered in blood, both his and maybe from the enemies he encountered and slayed.

"Shut up wench." he spat back at me with venom and tried to push me away when I suddenly hissed in pain, our positions being reversed in an instant because I was now the one holding on to him. My body....

I couldn't stop the scream that tore from my throat, feeling nothing but white hot pain as I wobbled, grabbing Leirum's arm and my eyes widened. N-No.

"What's going on? This is not funny if you're joking stupid girl." Leirum said in an annoyed tone as a sob escaped my lips without my permission but the pain was too much, my body convulsing and trembling.

"Damn!" I heard him cuss and suddenly, we were on the ground, his face hovering above as he laid my head on his lap, Antoinette and Violet showing up on either side of me with worried faces. The pain heightened to a different level but suddenly vanished in an instant.

"My body's going n-numb. I can't feel my leg!" I cried in hysteria, not feeling my leg and I couldn't even move it! No----

"Calm down. The pain will pass. Bear with it for a little while." He cut off my hysteria ripping some cloth from his coat and tying it on some part of my body. I don't know where but I was near to tears when his hand lit with green light hovered above me and I gasped when a soothing feeling overcame me, fresh air entering me as Leirum helped me calm down.

"Sh*t. I can't heal your wound if I still hadn't retracted the poison------"

Leirum and I... And practically everyone else around us stopped when we heard something, making my mind suddenly remember words of warning.

"N-no. This can't be..." I heard Violet mumble while I forced myself to sit up, straining my ears to make out what I was hearing.... A song?

"Wh-what's the meaning of this?" Violet asked with a trembling voice, as if remembering the words herself. Just like that, I forgot the pain, my whole body becoming completely numb as words escaped my lips. Please tell me I'm wrong...
