"Oh my, that's just sad and funny at the same time."

Squirming at her laughter, I couldn't help but laugh along with her. My embarrassment was beyond my reach, and there was photos and videos to prove it. I once again vented my feelings out to Sandy, showing her my misery.

I spent school wallowing around, ignoring a laughing Chuck, and being ignored by a confusing Zander. He once again walked past me like I was a stranger. The hurt I felt yesterday, expanded greatly with the situation that happened today. Why was he freaking ignoring me? I have no idea.

It's not like we fought the night before yesterday. We kissed for that matter! Was he regretting it already? Or was he just ashamed? There were too many questions just for one boy who made me feel safe for one night.

"Look at Zander's face! I can't stop laughing."

Sandy's laugh flowed throughout the diner. It was nice to know that we actually had a place that we shared together. We were having our "girls rule, boys drool," kind of moment. Boys really did drool, they sucked.

Sandy couldn't say the same, though, she and Derek was getting along great, and actually made it official today. She had grabbed a hold of me during lunch to drag me into the bathroom. She had almost squealed that Derek had asked her to be his girlfriend before classes started. I couldn't be happier for both of them, even if I was living my own misery.

"This is so not funny Sandy!"

Viewing the horrifying picture once more, I couldn't help but laugh, his face was actually hilarious.

"Then why are you laughing?"

Pushing her lightly away, I shrugged.

"Trust me, it's out of my own embarrassment."

Grabbing a French fry, I dipped it into my dipping sauce, popping it into my mouth to chew. I was hungry after a long day of school, and I was apprehensive that French fries weren't going to do to salivate the hunger.

Hearing a beep coming from my phone, I looked beside me to see Zeke, holding my phone in his sweater pocket. Giving him a pat on his bald head, I took my phone into my hands to find a message from my mom waiting for me.

Mom <3:

Come home. I MISS YOU! :(

Snorting, I replied with a smile. I really did love my mom.

Ariii <3 :

On my way, your highness.

Saying a brief goodbye to Sandy, I walked out of the diner and into the warmth. As I said before, I hated this weather and all the humidity in it. It made my hair frizzy.

Holding Zeke against my chest, I got ready for a long walk that made me dream for a car of my own. God, was I so lazy. A beep from my pocket broke out, and I once again checked my phone. I read the message, still blindly walking, laughing at my mother's quirkiness.

Mom <3:

I'm the queen and don't you forget it. :p

As I laughed quietly, it was soon cut short as I felt a pressure of a chest pushing me back. Letting out a squeak, I reached out for balance, holding onto the shirt of the hard chest. Once I got my balance back, I let go of the shirt quickly, noticing the wrinkles I caused it to have. Wincing at my mess, I thoughtlessly started to smooth the shirt out, my mind not thinking of the consequences. I just wanted to clean my mess for being the hugest ditzy walking on two legs.

"I'm so sorry, I honestly wasn't looking!"

Still trying to smooth out the wrinkled mess, I felt the muscles underneath the t-shirt tense.

"I'm such a klutz and I honestly don't know where I get it from. Both my parents are the most balanced people I know, and then you just look at me -"

A throat being cleared stopped my work, as I looked up into dark eyes. Gasping in shock, I quickly pulled away as I felt myself stumble stupidly.

"Zander."

His name came out of my mouth in a gasp, and I felt myself almost falling once again, before I felt the warmth of his hands steadying me. Blushing profusely pink, I tried to laugh it off.

"I'm sorry, I'm such a -"

"Klutz?"

His finish of my sentence made me let out a slight laugh, not knowing what to do in this awkward situation. I pushed strands of hair behind my ear, before I quickly fixed my shirt. The silence that came left me with dread.

"Why are you avoiding me?"

The words just came out of me like a bullet. The shock in me spreading through as his own shocked face appeared. I couldn't help but feel proud of myself.

Stand up for yourself, don't let him play with you.

With that being thought, I crossed my arms, not backing down. I was getting my answers, whether he liked it or not.

His mouth gaped open, and a little smile threatened to release out of me. Stand your guard Aria, get your answers.

My eyebrow shot up, as I challenged him to speak.

"I-"

He shrugged, and released a small breath. He nodded surely to himself before he stepped forward, ready to speak, before my phone interrupted him.

Looking down at my phone, I couldn't help but freak out internally.

Incoming Call: Chucky :)

That wasn't the only reason I was crapping bricks. As my phone rang, Zander and I looked back at a shirtless Chuck.

He freaken put that picture as his contact photo.

I looked at Zander pleadingly, a nervous gut wrenching. Zander had stared back at me, an unreadable expression on his face, before he spoke.

"You shouldn't be asking that question."

Then he kept walking, a hoodie on his head, even in this madness heat. He was walking away from me again, and I was at a loss for words.

That's a first.
