TODAY I AM EXTRAORDINARY - a manics tale.

Today I am extraordinary, it’s quite beyond belief

Invincible, remarkable, a legend I shall make

The things I’ll do, go buy, create, there’s no time to debrief

Can’t stop, no time, make no mistake, I need to stay awake.

Today I am extraordinary, I have such plans and dreams

To fly a plane, and meet the Queen, I’ll learn to drive a train

I dance, I spin, I can’t give in, this mood is so extreme

I’ll clean the house, and buy a car, then clean out all the drains.

Today I am extraordinary, and buzzing with ideas

I feel so young, my life’s begun, someone has caught my eye

A flirt can’t hurt, some wine, some beer, a toast to us, say cheers

It’s late, but fun, what’s done is done, forget, if caught deny.

Today I am extraordinary, I really can’t explain

I’ve shaved the dog, and cut my hair, my husbands in despair

I’ve so much love, it knows no bounds, I’ve booked my flight to Spain

I’ll take up art, teach crafts, who knows, I’ll miss you, so take care.

Today I am extraordinary, there’s nothing I can’t do

I’ll take a hike, or ride my bike, such energy sustained

I’ve joined the Gym, I’ll jog and swim, a yoga class or two

Just cancelled Spain, alas, it seems I’m needed in Ukraine.

Today I am just ordinary, and feeling rather tired

Where is the fun, I’m feeling glum, how much money have I spent?

The bank has phoned, I’m close to tears, my credit card’s expired

I didn’t know I’d been that bad, it really wasn’t meant.

So low, so sad, remorse, too late, I’ve really done it now

My mind is cursed, I can’t converse, so sorry I’m a cow.

Yesterday I was extraordinary, unfortunately for you

Because now there are the consequences,

Blackness through and through.
