YOU AND I
You’ll never love another quite the same way as you loved me, but perhaps you will be happy as you’re finally rid of me
You think she’s set you free, that you’ll forget your life with me, but each time you close your eyes at night you’ll still see only me
You always will compare us, and find her lacking spark, it was madness that united us and without it life is dark
You’ll mourn the space that I once filled, no matter how she makes you feel, but love like ours isn’t meant to last and you and I are in the past
You’ll have a good life without me, because from me you need to flee, I’m danger, poison, calamity, we really were not meant to be
You’ll look back at your time with me and question was it wrong or right, but may be what is wrong is right, despite all of the dreadful fights
You’ll sometimes think of you and I, remember all the times we had, it wasn’t dull, just very mad, two people fighting, just so sad
I often think of you and I, and understand you must be glad that you are now away from me and she’s with you, you’re gone from me
I often feel so very grieved, that such a love as ours is dead, I am to blame, I was so bad, but many happy times were had
But now it’s calm, the storm has passed, it’s harmony you have with her, I really hope she treats you well, if she doesn’t please give her hell
Don’t feel bad about our past, it was a blast but couldn’t last, it’s not like I am on my own, I too have found a happier home
As for me I’m doing well, I have a new victim under my spell, and you are banished from my head, for its now time to put the past to bed,
So goodnight my love, it’s time to go, it's over, be good, farewell.
