MOVING ON FROM THE PAST
It takes enormous bravery to put your past to bed
To banish all the misery and woes that fill your head
Great courage is required to move on from the past
And make a brighter future that you trust will blossom and last.
Each day you face reminders of mistakes you’ve made and lived
But you must not be distracted, for you have so much to give
And so you move ever onwards; pick yourself up after blips
Looking to the future, while of hope you keep a firm grasp.
But it takes enormous bravery to put your past to bed
To banish all the misery and woes that fill your head
And great courage is required to move on from the past
To make a brighter future that you trust will blossom and last.
