MY MIND'S EYE

MY MIND’S EYE

I have blissful memory in my mind’s eye

Of heavenly meadows and blue leaved trees

And kaleidoscopic clouds that fill a golden sky

Where brightly hued birds chase crimson winged bees.

I have a splendid memory in my mind’s eye

Of a calm yellow sea that soothes as well as heals

An astonishing place where there’s only blissful sighs

As joy and contentment is what every soul feels.

I have a welcome memory in my mind’s eye

Of a knowledge and connection that’s not of this dark earth

Where love, warmth and kindness is in endless supply

And everyone is acknowledged for all that they’re worth.

I have a glorious memory in my mind’s eye

Of a wondrous place that I know I have seen

There’s purple tipped mountains that reach towards the sky

And fabulous plants that stand proud and keen.

I have a magnificent memory in my mind’s eye

Of an extraordinary place that I know that I have been

I long to return there; to watch the angels fly

For I know, deep in my heart that it was real, not just a dream.
