OH GENTLE HEART
Oh gentle heart, don’t turn away, from everything that’s bright and gay
Don’t shield that face, come out to play, amongst the magnificent sun’s warm rays
Oh broken heart, don’t be dismayed, there’s joy to be had in the world today
Don’t waste this time, we don’t have long, before we’re old and tired and grey
Oh timid heart, don’t be afraid, you’ll miss so much if you can’t be brave
Don’t listen to those pointless fears. Go get a life without delay
Oh seeking heart, please don’t give in, keep searching and you’ll find a way
Do grasp at every rose that blooms, and for your recovery I’ll vehemently pray
Oh hopeful heart, do beat with pride, for its great courage and strength that you’ve displayed
So stand up tall, and take a bow, you’ve turned a corner, honest, and you’re going to be ok.
