Why Try

I try to fake a laugh for you,
I try to plaster a smile
I try to do the best I can,
But now I'm asking why

I try to accomplish the hardest of tasks,
Just to make you proud
But all my effort has gone to waste,
Because all you can do is shout

But now it's pulled apart at the seams

It's like I had vanished from the world in all,

When I tried no one extended a hand to me,
It was like I had no name in this world

But it's like I didn't matter to you
