Philophobia

The fear of getting back in the game,
Feeling that it'll go back to being the same
The old memories drifting right back to you,
Bringing back the times that almost flew

The fear of falling hard and  getting washed up on the shore,
The fear of getting rejected, having no place else to go
The thoughts of moving on seem like bliss to me,
As the perks of being single make me feel free

All the insecurities that love discloses,
Being buried in a meadow full of roses
Standing in front of the mirror and trying to impress,
Camouflaging your inner beauty, with a fancy new dress

The fear of getting lost in flames,
The fear of getting back in the game
I will forever embrace my philophobia,
And remain hidden in the valves of my dystopia.

Falling in love is no joke. Falling in love is no lie.
Falling in love is an inevitable fairytale gone wrong.
Falling in love is literally falling.

Falling hard.

You don't realize it until the very last moment when everything just starts getting into a twisted jumble of thoughts and ideas and before you know it-  love has made it's mark. Philophobia is the fear of falling.

The fear of falling in love.

Love is a curse,
Love is a spell.
Love is magic,
But you can never tell.
