From the moment I picked you up from the store that day,
I knew for sure of the path that lay
Since I laid eyes on you, my precious teddy bear,
I knew that you'd love me, that you'd always be there
You were my everything, together we'd play,
Every moment I was with you, every second of every day
You'd sit at my tea parties and let me choose a dress,
With my favourite princess tiaras, we'd always make a mess
As I grew older we didn't play as hard,
Slowly, slowly we might've drifted apart
But you were always by my bedside, helping through my days,
Always by my side, you were there to stay
Holding you to my chest as the tears rolled down my cheeks,
Telling you all my stories, my secrets you'd keep
Even as the years grow, and time passes by,
Know that I will love you till the day I die
You were there for me through the toughest of times,
You'd always be my tranquilizer, my partner in crime
Kissing you goodnight and marvelling to myself,
How lucky I was to pick you off that shelf.
