Tucking behind a chocolate curl,
Looking at the girl in the glass
Observing the way her brown eyes tremble,
As she takes in all of the pastWiping away at a tear stained face,
She tries to conceal with a mask,
But putting it on while in the midst of the circumstance,
Was probably the hardest taskChoking back tears the girl in the glass,
Tries to hold herself together
She tries to even her breaths and counts to ten,
But the thoughts come back wheneverWishing away the monsters and the spirits that wandered,
Trying to close her eyes
Taking a glance of the girl in the glass,
I wish I could wash away her criesSmoothening out her ruffled hair,
She washes away the tears with one splash,
But as it comes back to her, the painful memories,
It all comes down with a crashUnwillingly trying to pull herself together,
She counts down numbers once again,
Plastering a smile and doll-like innocence,
She walks out happy with the count of ten.~Olivia
