Roller Coaster

I'm forever going to be on that emotional roller coaster,
I'm nearing the edge, each second I get closer
Up and up, preparing for the fall,
Either I can scream, or put my hands up through it all
Twisting and turning, through the tiresome days,
Then riding smoothly, and I'm feeling okay
When your mood is getting lighter, more exciting within minutes,
That's when you know the blithe has finished
Preparing for the drop in sheer terror,
Frenzied with what's to come, hoping there's no error
The scintillating sun shining down on your face,
You must be prepared for the rain to come its way
Looping through the clouds with no weight on your shoulders,
Then comes the drop and you're feeling much bolder
With each and every second you get accustomed to the ride,
You're satisfied with the bravery that made you even try
When the emotional roller coaster finally comes to an end,
A part of you is missing and you want to get back on again.
