Those words that punched and attacked
That smile that made my insides flutter,
That shake of a head put my heart in shatters
That time I had you by my side,
That time I faced it and did not hide
That time I knew my smiles were real,
That time I didn't have emotions to feel
That hug that lasted a lifetime,
That night at height that was a crime
That time I lay with my head on your chest,
That time I felt happiness
That time I didn't have a mask,
To hide the vulnerability put at task
That time we laughed at memories,
That time when I was really me
That time I fell and got back up,
That time I wanted to leave and give up
The time I was so intent on leaving this world behind,
That time I didn't know who to confide
That time we lay side by side,
