Happily Ever After

I can't wait for my happy ending,
My turn to have a story to tell
Waiting for the day my prince charming will come,

Wishing for a chance at this game

Hoping for the day when he'll finally ask,
When he'll finally see me for me
Waiting for the moment when the world will be forgotten,
It's just him that I will see

I wish I had my happily ever after,
Someone who could love me for my quirks
Someone who could accept me for who I am,
And see my flaws only as perks

I won't stop believing that he's still out there,
And one day our paths will intertwine
One day he'll notice me and take an interest,
He'll see me in another light

One day I'll have my princess castle,
I'll live my own fairytale
One day I'll find someone who loves me back,
But for now I'm leading my own trail.

We all dream of having that special someone in our lives. We all hope of having that special someone loving us back. We all wish that they'd notice us for who we are and what we can give to the world, but we often fail to realize that sometimes even when we tell ourselves not to, we obliviously change ourselves in order to seem perfect in someone else's eyes.

You know what? No amount of extra effort and time invested in proving yourself worthy, is actually worthy. No amount of you tirelessly working to get someone to notice you is going to benefit you.

Just stay strong, hold on and you'll get through this. You'll have your happy ending. Everyone will. But if you overdo you're attempts at having one, chances are you'll only hurt yourself. You'll only stress yourself out about every little thing about your physical appearance and sometimes even your personality. For all those who have laughs that are funnier than the joke- I feel you. But you changing your hysterical dying seal laugh is not going to change anything. We are the most beautiful when we're ourselves. Don't change yourself for anybody.

Find someone who'll love you just for who you are.
