Broken

Smashed, thrown, tossed on the floor,
Now this fragile doll's heart has torn
Her legs are deployed and her hair's thrown about,
With a bright pink marker, "broken" it spelled out
Pushed, pulled, yanked piece from piece,
Her eyes were shaded purple and missing were two teeth
Manhandled, jostled, played with every day,
Now this fragile doll has no other way
Her dignity was missing and her self confidence lay in shreds,
Her plastic was slowly melting and thought spirals littered her head
There was nothing to be done, her life had come to an end,
Now she was truly broken, there was no starting over again.
