based on a personal experience... not with nuti but whatever.

this is another sister-brother imagine. leave if you want to!

SOFIA'S POV:

"Sofia, kuuntele minua. Saat levätä, jos on tarvetta (Sofia, listen to me. You will rest if you need to)." Markus tells me.

"Tiedan, Markus (I know, Markus)." I tell him. He nods his head. Today Markus is allowing me to run the track with his teammates. I haven't exercised in awhile because I have been healing from a recent torn ACL. I also have asthma. Markus thought this would be a good way to get me healthy again.

I agreed, I needed exercise. Markus had called Coach to set up things for the track.

Just before we got out of the car, I asked Markus, "Markus, voi teen esteitä (Markus, may I do the hurdles)?" He responds, "Vain jos se tuntuu heille (Only if you feel comfortable doing them)."
I nod my head to say that I heard him.

We hop out of the car and head to the track. There we're greeted by Seth Jones, Zach Werenski, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Ryan Murray, and Brandon Dubinsky. Markus "bro hugs"
his teammates. I smile.

Markus' coach calls him over and they begin stretching. I do it with them. My knee starts to bother me, and Markus notices. He gives me a "you okay?" kind of look. I just nod my head.

After awhile stretches end and we run a couple of laps. My knee feels a little bit better, but it still hurts. And, to make it even worse, I forgot to take my inhaler this morning. Just great!

But I decide to keep fighting. Markus told me to rest, but I was born to run. I keep pushing.

After awhile, I stop for a bit. I put my hands on the back on my head to get some air. I'm a lot faster than Markus and his teammates, so I was on the opposite side of the track as them.
When Markie and his teammates finally catch up to me, they run to me. Mark doesn't seem too worried, it really isn't a big deal. He's seen it before.

His teammates stay back a bit while Markus rubs circles on my back. After awhile, he asks, "You okay?" I nod my head.

I decide to take a break from running for a little bit. Coach Tortorella allows me to set up
the worn-down hurdles. I warm up by jogging backwards to help my knee. It actually helps!

I start to hurdle and everything is well. Markus is getting ready to do some more stretches so he's not on the other side of the track anymore.
I did track before I tore my ACL playing pond hockey with Markie in Oulu. So this is like second nature to me.

I reached the last hurdle and jumped over it. 5th round- done. Now time for another round. Jump, jump-down. Perfect. Jump-jump-hit the ground; and hard. "Markus!!" I cry out in pain.
He rushes over to me. "Sofia, what happened?!!!"

I point to my knee, "My knee! I landed on it!!!"
"Okay," he starts, "same knee? Still your right?" I nod my head.

He pulls up my pant leg and gasps at what he sees. My knee is already swollen and purple. "Sofia, we need to go! We need to get you to a hospital!!! Now!!"

I'm in tears. "It hurts, Markus!! It hurts!" He replies, "I know, Sof, but let's get you to a hospital. It looks like you'll be all right."
I nod my head. Markie picks me up bridal style. He waves goodbye to his teammates, who look concerned. He puts me in the car and we drive to the hospital. This will be fun...

••••••••••••••••••••••>>•••••••••••••••••••••••

Yep, you guessed it. I have a torn ACL. Out for another seven to nine months. Just great!
Markus looks sorry for me, "I'm sorry, Sofia! I thought this would be a good idea!!"

I sigh, "It's okay, Mark. You didn't know this was going to happen. Just a series of events, I guess," I say.

He smiles a bit, I guess that made him feel a bit better. I smile too.

"Okay," Markus continues.

"You wanna watch a movie?" My brother asks excitedly. "Yeah," I respond.
Markus puts in 'Happy Gilmore' and we have fun for the rest of the night.

Overall, the first torn ACL was horrible! But, in my opinion, the second wouldn't be so bad. More time in Columbus to spend with my big bro...
