36. SETH JONES | blue jackets

You had just gotten off the phone with Seth. Morning practice is just beginning and you and Camryn are going to surprise Seth at practice!

You haven't been to a practice or game since Camryn was born. Before, you tried to got to practice at least three times a week games at least twice a week.

You head over to your first born, "Hi Camryn! You ready to go surprise daddy at practice?" you ask her, excitedly. She coos.

"Okay then, let's go!" you tell her (in your best baby voice). She smiles once again. She really loves her dad, you can tell.

You grab her carrier and place her in it. You then place her in the car and hop into the car yourself. You then drive to Nationwide Arena and wait in the car for about 15 minutes.

After waiting, you head inside. By now, practice is just about ending, so you quickly head to the locker room. As you're walking in, Coach Tortorella sees you and smiles.
"Hey, Y/N! Nice finally seeing you again!"

"Hi, Mr. Tortorella. Nice to see you too," you tell him. His grin becomes even bigger.
"Does Seth know you're here?" he asks you.

You nod your head no. "No, Camryn wanted to surprise her daddy." He nods his head, telling you he understands.

After that little encounter, you head into the locker room. Brandon Dubinsky is the first to see you, and he smiles when he spots Camryn.

"So," he starts, "this is the little Jones Seth's been talking all about." he says. You nod your head.

"Hi, baby," he speaks again, "Seth won't stop talking about you. Now I can see why." He chuckles slightly at the end. You laugh with him.

After playing with Camryn and making her laugh, Dubi speaks up again, "Hey, Y/N, I think you should head into the weight room. You know, just so the boys won't scare her as much," You chuckle. You knew exactly why.

You nod your head. "That sounds like a good idea." You say as you exit the room and head into the weight room.

Dubinsky comes and gestures you to come in, signaling it's alright to come in. You head in with Camryn, and all the boys gasp. You don't see Seth anywhere, but you know he wanted her to meet his teammates, so, whatever.

Seth then enters the locker room, looking down at his feet. When he hears Camryn cooing, he looks up and smiles.

He walks over to you, and he takes Camryn in his gentle arms. "Hi, baby girl," he whispers, "Daddy's happy to see you here!"

After awhile of father-daughter bonding time, Nick Foligno whisper shouts, "C'mon Dad, let us see her." Seth hesitates for a moment, but reluctantly agrees.

He hands Camryn to Nick, who asks, "What's her name?"

You look over at Seth, "Oh, come on Seth, you talk about her nonstop but never tell the team her name?! Why?!"

"I don't know, I just... didn't," Seth replies, quite unsurely. You roll your eyes. "Well, would you like to tell them her name now?"

He nods his head. "Her name is Camryn Grace Jones."

"She shares my name!" Cam Atkinson whisper shouts, causing everyone to start laughing.
"I feel honored!"

Nick takes Camryn around, some of Seth's teammates even getting to hold her. When Nick hands Cam over to Markus Nutivaara, he makes silly faces at her, making her laugh.

When he hands Cam over to you, he says, "Camryn really has Seth's smile, but she has your eyes." He then proceeds to smile. You smile too.

You can tell Camryn is really going to love her uncles, especially Markus and Cam (based on the name and all). But, for now, both you and Seth will cherish all the little moments you can spend with Camryn. After all, you don't want her to grow up to fast. That's every parents worst nightmare!
