18. I Don't Need You
The town didn't look like a town. It looked like a city, but maybe I'm getting it wrong and mixing them up.
The buildings were huge and I was extremely fascinated and mind blowed.
How do they make them so high...
My head was held back as I stared up at the glass buildings surrounding me. The roads weren't too busy with traffic and a number of people were shuffling along the side walk. It looked much different than when Blue Eyes had taken me here.
I didn't notice the buildings because I was too busy trying not to catch anyone's eye as we drove through the busy streets. When he'd asked me if I wanted to get out and walk - "Check things out", he'd said - I turned the invitation down, only because there were too many people walking around. They could hardly even move because of how crowded the sidewalk was. I didn't want to be a part of that.
So we'd stayed in the car, only getting out when we had to and even then, I kept my head down.
But now, I was able to take in everything and I regretted staying in the car. It was all surreal to me because I've never seen buildings this high and so much entertainment boards and advertisements. There were a lot of shops, markets, stores... I had the urge the enter every single one of them and find out what exactly was in there, but then at the last minute, I decided not to.
Either my gaze would lock with someone's and I'd hurriedly move away or I'd think someone's staring at me and leave.
Eventually as I was walking, I ended up standing outside of the library that I was supposed to be working at today.
So because I had nothing to do and I do not want to go back 'home', I climbed the few steps that were connected to the building and went in. I took a deep breath as soon as I'm standing inside the library, inhaling the scent of old books and new books mixed with the cool atmosphere given off by the air conditioner.
For some reason I liked that smell and my eyes closed involuntarily as I took a couple more breaths.
"Hey, you good?" An amused voice asks.
I opened my eyes and saw that it was a guy. He was smiling at me, finding something amusing. He had a number of books under his arm and he watched me with his head tilted to the side slightly, his pink lips pulled up at the sides and as much as I hate to admit it, he was very good looking.
I nodded at him with a blank stare before walking around him. I made the mistake of looking back at him went I was a couple feet away and my eyes connected with his. I quickly turned back around and even from where I'm standing, I heard him chuckle lowly to himself.
"Cute." He mutters to himself.
I held back a smile and shook my head. If he only knew I could hear him from this far.
I shook my head and walked up to the front desk where an older woman was behind, typing on a computer.
She looked up and smiled, "Hi, honey, you're a little early don't you think?" She teases.
I let out a breathless laugh, "I was just walking around and I ended up here." I tell her.
"Do want something to do, or...?" She trails off.

Fantasy"I don't want you either." I murmur, knowing he'd hear me. He did, and his body tensed, his hands balling at his sides. Of course, I was lying and of course I felt the same feeling in my chest like a knife stabbing at my heart. I knew, Dakoda knew...
