Chapter 13

STASIA

Waking up to a text from Drew made me smile, who'd thought a big bad biker would be so sweet.

Getting up and showering, shit you gotta love hot

water. It's funny how people take things for granted when they have it.

Smiling while I get dressed I walk out to the kitchen Keata still

asleep, but Sophie's up getting her breakfast ready so she can get her up.

Smiling at me she says,  "kettles boiled"

walking over, I make me a coffee then  turn back around and ask,

"what's going on today"

"Keata has school, we go to work, then home"

"I'm so excited to get to work today I hate sitting around."

Soph smiles at me knowingly "honey you want to ride together or are you driving your car"

"I'll come with you. Seems silly taking 2 cars, most our shifts are the same anyway."

"ok well we're leaving in 20,  ok, gotta drop Keata off first. "

with that we both take off to get ready, both taking turns with Keata so she's

ready on time,  and so Sophie has time as well.

Getting in the car I sit in the back with Keata she's still tired.

Keats has been deaf all her life, so I like to entertain her while Sophie drives. Halfway to

school she starts to giggle which is my favourite sound in the world, so I video

Both of us so I can watch it later. Before I know it where at her school.

Sophie takes her into class, so I play with my phone. before I think

more of it I send our video to Drew. I Hope it makes his day as well.

As soon as I spot Sophie, my phone vibrates

BIKER BOY: she looks happy today where u 2 off too.

Sophie gets in the car and looks at me "who has you smiling so big."

As I'm texting drew back telling him dropping Keata at school then work, I also tell soph it's Drew.

"so you gave him your number hey?"

"Nah, he got it somehow. But he won't tell me how he's been texting me

since yesterday, it's nice" she's smiling at me.

"this is your first,  hey! the first boy ever,  to be interested in you  or maybe the first boy you have

ever looked at."

Boy is she right I just can't be around males at all

but he makes me feel safe and like I can be myself.

Pulling up at work  I see another text from Drew.

BIKER BOY: wat time u finish today babe

ME:3 PM today ;)

BIKER BOY: don't work too hard ;)

Walking into work, my boss comes over with a big bunch of flowers.

"are you sure you're going to be ok, you can take some time off. Whatever you need"

"I'm good Joan. Honest, I'm sick of sitting around, when it starts to hurt I'll sit,  I promise." Joan is an amazing boss she has always looked after us.
