The whole summer, Kihyun and Shownu spent on helping each other achieve their own goals. It proves to be very difficult and sometimes, they gave up.

Once, Shownu was feeling down and nearly fainted because his body still hasnt gotten used to the absence of nicotine. He felt breathless but he persevered on with the help from Kihyun who stood by his side throughout.

But the improvements were massive. From only being able to survive for an hour without smoking, Shownu can now go on for a week.

Kihyun also had lost a lot of weight since the start of his new lifestyle.

"56kg..woah...do you think its good enough?" Kihyun looked at the scale.

"Dont go any further than this I tell you" Shownu reprimanded him.

"Im joking gosh...dont take it so seriously" Kihyun lightly punch his broad shoulder.

"Shall we have a celebratory meal after school tomorrow??"

"Is it on you?"

"Of course!...but you have to consider it as a date"

"A date?"

"Yes"

"I cant go out remember?"

"Who said we are going out? Im gonna make a candlelight dinner for you at the school rooftop" Shownu smile softly.

"Candlelight dinner? At the rooftop? That sounds amazing" Kihyun grin.

When Kihyun went home that day, he ironed his uniform and plastered a wide smile when it doesnt feel tight around him. In fact, its loose and comfortable.

He felt nervous for tomorrow but confident at the same time.

Shownu : so hows my kihyun dg?

Kihyun : good i guess...🤔..im packing my bag now

Kihyun : you?

Shownu : contemplating on whether or not its worth it to go to school

Shownu : then i remember that i have you so--

Kihyun : 😂😂

Kihyun : how are you feeling btw?

Kihyun : you dont look too well these days, im worried if you are gonna be very sick

Shownu : 🙈

Shownu : stop it

Shownu : Its 12am, dont make me feel all blushy till i cant sleep

Kihyun : im not🙅🙅🙅

Kihyun : i just gave you a normal reply

Shownu : yea sure...

Shownu : anyway.... about the reward...😏😏

Kihyun : you want me to be your boyfriend right?

Shownu : of course

Kihyun : how???

Shownu : just accept me??

Kihyun : no...thats not what i meant....its just...

Kihyun : i still find it incredible that you are still in love with me after all this while and after i showed you my various personalities

Kihyun : rmmbr when i vomitted on one of your gym equipments because i didnt ate much? and you cleaned that up without complaining even one bit.

Kihyun : i...just...how??? i still dun get it

Shownu : love makes you do lots of crazy stuff tbh

Shownu : i just realised that, after i met you

Kihyun : hmm...

Kihyun : okay.....

Shownu : okay what?

Shownu : hello????

Shownu : did you just blueticked me???

Kihyun smirk as he placed his phone at the side.

However, his smile did not last very long. Coming from a family who has a strict religious mother, Kihyun really felt confused of his feelings.

He knows that somehow or rather, he has a spot in his heart for Shownu.

Shownu really makes him feel like he is the most amazing human in the world, even when he is not.

And at times, Kihyun caught himself smiling when he received texts from Shownu.

It was all this small acts that made him felt attracted to the male.

But falling in love with Shownu is dangerous. There would be undesired consequences and he could foresee them.

Mrs Yoo would definitely scold him or beat him up. Worse case, he would be thrown out of the house.

It is really driving Kihyun crazy.

On one end, he wants to be able to love Shownu.

At the other end, he wants to make sure that his mother's heart is well taken care of.

Both ways are confusing him a lot which made him wonder,

why must i be the one in such a dilemma? why cant everyone just accept me for who i am? and why must i choose which path i should take in life to suit everyone's liking?
