POV: (Sloane)

Jared left to go to his room as I fell onto the couch with exhaustion. You'd think that ghosts would avoid the Supernatural creatures but I found out they don't. At least I had almost forgotten about this little 'gift' today. I'm mostly used to the dead people walking through my house now since some are signature hauntings. Which basically means they repeat the same route every day. The first time I saw a ghost was when I was injured and went to take a shower.

Let me just point out that opening your eyes after wiping them clear of water and then looking into the eyes of another person is terrifying. Ghosts don't look like what I had imagined. Some are normal, some are bloody, old, young, see through, solid. I've learned a lot about them over the past couple of weeks. That first one though was terrifying because it had talked to me once it noticed I could see it.

To be exact, it was most definitely a male and he was completely naked. I'd screamed my head off and backed into the corner holding my hands out in the universal sign for 'stay the fuck back'. Or at least that's what I thought. When Cane came through the door the only thing I was worried about had been to put someone else between me and the guy. Sadly Cane didn't see the guy-a guy who had gotten angry that I had jumped into the arms of another man while he was standing right there. Talk about creepy.

Cane's hands had instinctively fallen underneath my butt to keep me secure but once my brain began to work again I realized the position I had gotten myself in. His hands had lightly squeezed against both my thigh and butt as I began to squirm against him. My body was still wet from the shower and I was as nude as the Mage's are when they perform a cleansing ritual.

Cane didn't seem to mind all that much if the bulge pressing against me had been any indication. After a lot of shuffling to cover up, excuse me's, I'm sorry's, and I'll be right there's, I had finally dried off and gotten clothes on without another accident.

Thinking back on it now made a mild blush form on my cheeks.

I should probably call Celise and tell her that Jared and I aren't coming back in. She'd probably stay there until closing if I didn't let her know.

"Twin's Service, how may I take your order?"

I rolled my eyes, "It's me. What was with that greeting?"

"Oh, hey Slo. Just switching it up and trying to confuse customers. By the way, I've been getting calls from people in the Supernatural Community to schedule appointments. Should I assign them with their correlating um.. species? Would it be species?"

"For now just assign them that way. We'll figure it out later. I don't really know about the species comment but I'll go with that since you are. "

Her laugh came over the line and I couldn't help but laugh as well. "Anyways, what's up? Why'd you call?"

"Jared and I have a lot of books and dusty scrolls to scour through. We won't be back in today so you can come over or stay. Whatever you want to do. If you leave though, make sure to let Candy and Bret know that they can go back to Cane's place for the day."

"I'm always up for some ol' dusty scrolls. Can I help?"

"Be my guest. I've been trying to translate this crap forever. Oh! Grab the things that look like relics out of my desk before leaving."

"No problem. See you soon."

Sometimes I wondered if she hung out with me because she liked me or if she had a fire burning in her pants for my brother so she just accepted me as the 'buy one get one free' deal. I'd tried to pick Jared's brain about how he felt but he kept a firm lock on anything I ever wanted to know.
