Clothes on the floor. Bodies entangled. Gripping each other as if frightened that the world would see. We laid there, gasping for oxygen. Our sore lungs clawing for air. I kissed her cheek and stroked her jawline. "..I love you Drew."

Cold, numb. A feeling most familiar to me. A feeling that submerged me under the cold waters of Antarctica.

Love. A set of chemical reactions that compels animals to breed. A thought of happiness as your heart flutters when you see that special person.

"I love you too.."

A lie. Truth hidden in the darkness so that a person's feelings won't get hurt. Covering up your own tracks, stopping the hunt.

Our eyes closed but our minds opened.
