Recap:

She yawned, walking towards me plopping herself on my lap. I put my arms around her, placing a kiss on her head and smiling fondly. I secretly put my finger over my lips, looking over her to Travis, telling him not to mention it.

I didn’t want her more stressed. Soft foot steps padded across the floor and all 3 of us turned and saw Alexis there standing, a blanket around her and wearing a weak smile.

I smiled back, we all did. This was a start, an improvement. She wasn’t alone, we would be there for her, the entire way.

Now all I have to do is get some answers.

Chapter 25:

Blake’s body tensed as he watched Alec and Hayden walked across to the entrance to the school. I gripped his arms, soothingly rubbing his back. I didn’t want him to question them like this, it would cause more trouble. He always seemed so pre-occupied these days.

We needed a day for ourselves, I know it sounds selfish. But I want just a day to be happy, just the two of us and no drama.

Blake quickly grabbed me, pulling me in his arms and breathing my scent as the tremors that racked his body started to stop and he relaxed. I pulled his head back and stared at him before gently pressing my lips to his. I didn’t tell him it was okay, I wouldn’t feed him lies.

Something made me feel like this was only the beginning. He smiled at me when I pulled back, and I couldn’t help but kiss him again as the feeling of love exploded in me. Alexis wasn’t here today, we had made her stay at home. Everything was more peaceful after that, she was slowly getting better.

“Let me handle this okay?” I pleaded as I cupped his cheek in my hand. He looked conflicted but sighed. “I can’t deny you anything can I?”

Laughing I murmured. “No you can’t.” He pouted, his delicious looking plump lips. I took his lower lip, sucking gently and he growled. The sound making me hotter. Before we could get carried away I quickly stepped back, winking as he playfully made a grab for me.

Kissing his cheek, I giggled, skipping off as I called behind me. “See you later!” The further I got away from him, my smile slid off and a frown replaced it. I saw Hayden turning the corner, his eyes widening when he saw me.

I walked even faster till I was jogging when I reached him. I pulled his shoulder till he was facing me, a panicked look in his eyes.

I was glad I had caught Hayden instead of Alec. Alec had a dangerous aura that made me feel a bit uncomfortable, and Hayden was my age so it was easier. Alec was 2 years older, the same age as Blake.

He had blue eyes, like his brother, but light brown hair instead of blonde. “W-what do you want?” He stuttered. I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him, and I placed my hands on his shoulder comfortingly.
