Ryleigh's POV

I rang the door bell and luckily Max answered.

"Hey!" I exclaimed. I was a bit over excited.

"Um...hey" He looked kind of confused but I didn't know why.

"Are you alright?" I asked genuinely concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine. It's just...who are you?"

My stomach dropped. What? We had a whole conversation earlier and he asked me to come over.

"Harvey who's at the door!?" I heard someone yell from inside.

Who's Harvey? This is Max. This better be a joke. I'm positive this is the right house. I mean Max is standing right in front of me.

"I don't know!" 'Harvey' yelled back.

Soon I saw Max come around the corner. Wait what? But Max is standing in front of me. Unless that's Harvey. Wait, Max has a twin?

"Hey Ryleigh!" Max said cheerfully.

"Hi..." I said still not completely sure what was going on.

"Right. You're probably confused. This Harvey my twin brother. He's not supposed to be here right now. Right Harvey?" Max said the last part through gritted teeth.

"Oh right. I'll be at Dobby's house. Bye it was nice meeting you Ryleigh." Harvey said as he walked out before I could respond.

"Sorry about that." Max said blushing. "Come in" he added, moving out of the doorway.

He sat on the couch in the living room and I did the same.

"So tell me a bit about yourself." He said.

"Well I'm fourteen, I live with my mom because my dad is in the military so he's always deployed, I guess I'm pretty good in school, and I'm a level 8 gymnast." I told him, not really knowing what he wanted to know.

"You're a gymnast?!" He asked but I couldn't read his expression.

"Yeah." I said blushing and looking down.

"So you can do flips and stuff?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Can we go outside so you can show me?" Why was this boy so interested in this?

I nodded again.

We walked outside into their backyard. He climbed onto the trampoline and I followed. He stood on the side looking at me.

"What?" I asked laughing.

"Do a flip!" He exclaimed.

"What kind of flip?" I asked laughing because there's multiple 'flips' in gymnastics.

He shrugged his shoulders indicating that he didn't know the names of any skills.

"Forward or backwards?" I asked trying to make it as simple as I could.

"Backwards." He told me.

Alright now what's the best backwards skill I have? I thought for a few seconds before I decided. I like to show off sometimes.

I jumped a few times and went into a one and a half twist.

I looked at Max and his jaw had literally dropped to the floor.

"You okay?" I asked giggling.

He just nodded.

"I don't even need the trampoline to do 'flip'" I told him. Like I said, I'm a show off sometimes.
