Ryleigh's POV

I woke up wrapped in Max's arms. We were in my bed but I don't remember walking up here. I remember being on the couch. I guess he carried me.

"Good morning." Max said smiling at me.

"Hey..." I remembered that he was going to go home this morning and I wouldn't see him for a few days. It was my decision and I knew it was for the best.

"What's wrong?" He asked and poked my nose.

I scrunched up my nose and he laughed.

"Nothing. What time is it?"

He rolled his eyes at my answer.

"8:15."

"Ughhhhhh. I'm tiredddddd." I whined.

"Then go back to sleep." He said in a duh tone.

"But I have stuff to do today."

"Do it later." He said in the same tone.

"Okay. But promise me you won't leave until I'm awake again." I said.

"I promise." He said laughing.

Then I fell back asleep.

about an hour later•

I woke up again but Max wasn't next to me. Wait did he already leave?! I started to panic and sat up.

Just then he walked through my door. I groaned and laid back down.

"What?" He asked laughing.

I just shook my head.

"Alrighty then. Well I think I should get home. My mum said we have stuff to do today." He told me.

I nodded and opened my arms for him to hug me, which he did.

"I'll see you in a few days. And guess what?" I asked.

"What?"

"My aunt's house is right next to yours."

His face brightened when I said that.

"Bye Maxie."

"See ya Ry."

And with that he left. I guess I should keep packing.

Max's POV

I walked back into my house and saw Harvey sitting in the couch.

"Dude where were you?" He asked.

"I spent the night at Ryleigh's" I told him.

"Just ask her out already, jeez." He complained.

"I did." I said.

"Oh so my little brother has a girlfriend." He knows I hate it when he calls me his 'little brother'. It's two minutes!

"Um, no I, uh, don't." I sat on the couch next to him.

"You got rejected!" He laughed.

I just rolled my eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love Harvey, he's like my best friend but he can be annoying sometimes.

"Look I'm sorry." He said.

"It's fine. She said she likes me but she's just not ready yet."

He nodded.

"Did you tell her about our singing and social media stuff?" He asked.

I shook my head.

"Not yet."
