Ryleigh's POV

"Max I have no idea what to wear." I said.

"Not this again." He groaned.

"Well sorry..."

"Ry, I already told you that you'll look amazing in anything."

I blushed and looked down.

"Be ready at 7:00. Then come downstairs." He said and kissed my forehead.

I nodded and he walked out.

I decided to just wear a sweater and black jeans. Simple, but still cute.

After what felt like forever, it was finally 7:00. I left my room and made my was downstairs. I found Max in the sunroom.

He stood up from the couch and smiled at me.

"See, I was right. You look amazing." He said.

I blushed and tried to hide my face.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

He came up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. He moved a strand of hair out of my face and gently kissed me.

"Why are you embarrassed?" He asked and laughed a bit.

I shrugged and smiled.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

I nodded and he led me to the backyard.

What he had set up was amazing. There was a blanket in the grass with a picnic basket and the trees had fairy lights strung in and around them.

"Max, this is amazing." I said in awe.

He hugged me from behind.

"I'm glad you like it." He kissed my cheek.

We sat down in the blanket and he opened the basket. We talked about random things as we ate.

Afterwards he pulled a small, thin box out and handed it to me.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Just open it."

I did what I was told and opened the box. There was a small silver necklace with a heart charm on it.

"Flip it over." He said.

The date 20/10/17 was engraved on the back. That was the day we met.

I tackled him into a hug and we just laid on the blanket. I put my head in his chest.

"Tonight was perfect." I said.

He squeezed me tighter.

"I know it wasn't anything fancy, but it took forever." He said.

"Well I loved it and I would've loved it no matter what."

He kissed my head.

"I have a question though." I said.

"Shoot."

"How much did you spend on me?" I asked.

"That's not important."

"Was it a lot?"

"I can't tell you." He said.

"How about just the necklace? How much did that cost?" I asked.

"Why do you care so much?"

"I just wanna know."

"If I tell you then you need to promise that you won't try to pay me back." He said.
