Chapter 55: Starting Over Again

Kiefer's POV

She's gone. She's definitely not here anymore. I know it was my fault. I know I've been stupid and lame and jerk for hurting the most wonderful girl any man would ever wish for.

Siguro tama nga si Thomas, I've left her with no option. Wala na akong binigay na dahilan para ipaglaban pa niya ako. I know I deserve this, pero she doesn't deserve any of this. She doesnt deserve to get her heart broken by a person who wanted to give her the world but failed to do so. I dont deserve her tears because her eyes were the most beautiful pair of eyes I could ever look at. I dont deserve her heart which I have no intention of breaking but kept on failing to do so.

I guess after all these realizations, I learned something.

I do not deserve her.

Because she deserve someone better. Someone who will put a smile on her face again. Someone who could make her happy. Someone who could show her again that life is beautiful and she deserved to be loved.

And I guess, I just need to let her go.

Nandito yung mga kaibigan ko to celebrate my birthday. Andyan yung mga Blue Eagles, at syempre buong Tigers kasama si Coach Pido. I must say it has been a smooth 2 years with the yellow community. Iba rin ang suporta, solid talaga.

Ang bilis talaga ng panahon. Ang daming nangyari. Una, magkaibigan na kami ni Aljon. Naayos na namin yung dapat ayusin. Pangalawa, may nanliligaw na kay Dabi at may girlfriend na si Thirdy. Pangatlo, Back to back champion ang UST sa basketball. Lucky charm ata ako. Hahaha. Pangapat, I'm about to graduate this year. Hopefully *fingers crossed*

"Happy Birthday, paps!!" Bati ni Kevin sakin. Medyo huli na rin kasi siya dumating galing sa practice ng Blackwater. Kasama niya si Dhea, yung girlfriend niya.

"Thanks Paps! Kumain na kayo dun, malamang maubos na ni Daqs at Kim yung lechon dun." I said.

They headed towards the vacant table and sat for awhile. Halatang pagod din si Kev kasi kung hindi, malamang diretso na siya sa buffet table.

Sunod naman dumating si Jeric Teng. He's currently playing for Rain or Shine. Although naman nung nasa Blue side pa ako, magkaibigan na kami niyan. And lalo na nung lumipat ako since nakikitrain din siya samin minsan.

"Happy birthday, bro. Eto regalo ko. Kaya ako natagalan kasi bumili pa ako niyan. Matouch ka naman!" He exclaims.

"Kinilig ako bro. Gusto kong umiyak kasi niregaluhan mo ko." Biro ko sa kanya. He handed me a g-shock paper bag. He knows how much I love watches. Pwede na ata kaming pang bromance neto. Hahaha.

"Hey handsome, happy birthday!" Someone kissed my cheeks.

"Chelsea." I greeted her.

"Bakit parang di ka naman masaya nung nakita mo ko." She pouted. There she goes with her childish acts.

"Syempre masaya ako." I smiled.

Chelsea is someone who likes me. Well, she keeps on giving me a hint that she likes me and keeps on hitting that we should try and maybe we can work as a couple. But then, I'd still see her as a friend. Una sa lahat, her mom and my mom are really good friends and officemates. Second, she's really a good friend and I don't want to lose her as one. And lastly, I still dont want to commit myself into relationships.

"Hoy brad, mukhang dikit na naman ng dikit sayo yang si Chelsea ah." Bulong ni Kim sakin.

"Oo nga, bat ba ayaw mo pa kasi patusin? Lumalapit na nga ang grasya sayo, tinatanggihan mo pa. Masama yan, mamaya ako pa pumatos niyan." Biro ni Tata sakin.
