A/N: First off, thank you to all who sent in a photo for last weeks's chapter. All of you draw so well! (I'm jealous). Anyway, please support your fellow readers by looking at their photos! I've attached them at the end of this chapter! If anyone still wants to send in revised, different, or new photos of their OC, just follow the instructions in last week's chapter! I will post them on whatever week's chapter you send them on. Thank you!
Your P.O.V
It wasn't the worst thing to wake up to the sound of your heart monitor but it certainly wasn't the best situation either. Your opened your eyes weakly, blinded by the bright light of what you could only assume was the hospital ceiling. You groaned and tried sitting up however it seemed that your body was too weak to move. The heart rate monitor began to beep faster as you continued to move. Your back was killing you. "Damn hospital beds...". You mumbled.
As your eyes adjusted to the light, you noticed you were all alone in the room. The room was laced with all sorts of alien technology and you though best to just leave it alone. After all, it didn't seem like you were in any danger and in need of a weapon. Your only concern was that you couldn't find Rick or the rest of your family anywhere. Slipping out from the rough covers you were under, you let your bare feet tough the floor. Surprisingly, the floor seemed to be heated. You whistled (or tried to whistle. I know I can't whistle.) "Fancy." You mumbled out loud. As you stood up, a small device fell to the floor that had been nestled into the folds of your giant hospital gown. You leaned down and grabbed it, stretching your stiff back in the process. Turning it over in your hand, you noticed it only had one small green button. It seemed to be some sort of nurse call button.
Curious, you played with the device in your hands for a moment before continuing your analysis of the room. You glanced out the clear window that served as your window into the halls of the hospital. There were all sorts of aliens outside but none you could recognize. Turning back to your bed, you spotted a glowing tablet attached to the end of your bed frame. Most of the document was is an foreign, alien language but you could make out a few English words including your name and a "Cerebral Coxosis - Blooming Nightbrain". You had no idea was Coxosis was but at least you could assume your health scare was due to a brain related injury. Out of things to explore in the premises of your room, you lay your thumb down on the call button and clicked the button. In an instant, four separate portals opened up around you, spilling out Beth, Morty, Summer, and Rick.
Rick leapt out of the portal and ran directly up to you and Beth and Summer looked slightly confused. Morty stared awkwardly as he stood peeing on the wall, making his famous 'duck face'. "Ewww Morty!" Summer yelled. Hastily, your grandson tried to zip up his pants and he awkwardly finished his business on the hospital room floor. As Morty tried to hide his actions, he slipped on his pee and fell to the floor into the puddle he had created. "W-what? R-rick!" Morty yelled, face flushed. "I thought you were going to put a warning on this thing!" Morty said, emphasizing by pointing to a bracelet on his wrist with a similar design to your call button. "I-i was peeing!" Rick ignored him. You wrapped your arms around your husband and gave him a quick hug and kiss. "Jeez Y/N you need a shower!" Your husband said to you. You ignored his comment.
"How long have I been out?" You asked him as you embraced your daughter and Summer. Rick shrugged. "In earth time? About 4 days." Beth teared up. "I was so worried!" You stroked her hair as she leaned against your chest. "Shhh sweet pea. Mama's not going anywhere." You looked up a Rick again. "So what's this 'Blooming Nightbrain' thing anyway?"
Summer waved her hands. "Oh oh! I got this!" She turned to you. "Grandpa Rick was telling us about it!" You nodded, giving your full attention to her. "Basically it's just a series of headaches caused by dimension travel. It's not to serious as long as you take these pills that hide the effects." Rick burped. "Spot on Summer." Rick grabbed his flask and took a swig. You were tempted to swipe the flask and juice yourself up but you were afraid to drink in our current condition. You had nothing in your stomach to soak up the alcohol.
