Your P.O.V
You slid your thumb over your phone before growling angrily as you lost yet against at that blasted Snappy Bird game. "Stupid! Stupid! STUPID!" You chucked the phone across your room. However, instead of hitting the wall and shattering, the phone's 'fall protocol' activated and it flew back to your side. You glared at your perfectly unharmed phone. Deep down you were grateful Rick had designed the case that prevented its destruction but in your moment of fury, all you wanted was to see your phone shattered against the wall.
Giving one final groan, you flopped onto your back on the bed and stared at the popcorn ceiling. You flopped one of your arms over your eyes and tried to control the urge to try and throw your phone again. However, as it normally went in this household, a distraction soon made itself present. The sound of a very girlish scream in the other room made you remove your arm from over your face. Quickly sitting up, you grabbed your phone and opened the door into the hall. You glanced up curiously at the lights, flickering on and off. True it was a strange sight but far from the strangest thing you had seen. And frankly, you were in no mood for some bullsh*t right now.
"Alright what the hell is going on?" You demanded just before stepping into the living room. However, as soon as you saw what was going on, you were at a loss for words. In the middle of the room Jerry was standing on the sofa, screaming. Beth, in the corner by the TV, was swatting a broom sporadically in the air. And the whole room was bathed a bright blue glow. Your eyes darted to the source of the hued light, a small, ghost looking thing, circling the living room ceiling.
Beth turned to you. "Oh mom! Perfect! Know how to handle this?" You gave a quick laugh, your eyes never leaving the moaning, glowing creature. "No." You quickly looked at her. "How did this even happen?!?" Beth pointed at Jerry, clearly done with his bullsh*t for the day. "Unsurprising." You mumbled to yourself, rubbing your temple. "HEY JERRY! SHUT IT!" You yelled at the still screaming man. He quickly closed his mouth. You turned to Beth. "Sweetie? I'm going to call you father. If anyone knows how to deal with this mess it's him."
You turned away for a moment from the scene and stepped into the hallway, eyes still on the 'ghost' flying around. You dialed Rick's number and put the phone to your ear. As it rang, you heard Jerry begin to whimper again. "Jerry! I SAID SHUT IT!" As you finish yelling at Jerry, you hear a voice on the other side of the phone. "Y/N?" Rick answered the phone in a mix of excitement and confusion.
"Strictly business right now Romeo. You happen to know the number for the ghostbusters?" You could almost hear Rick's eyebrows rise up. "What?" You sighed. "There's like a ghost of something loose over here and I'm pretty sure it's Jerry's fault." You heard Rick curse for a moment. "Ok ok. I'll be there in a sec."
Morty's P.O.V
Rick shoved the phone into Morty's hands as he began to search through his lab coat. "H-hello?" Morty said into the device. "Hey Morty sweetie! It's grandma! Sorry I have to cut your day with grandpa short but there's a little... issue going on in the house. I'm 90% sure it's a ghost. Though I'm not even quite sure that's a scientific possibility." Morty's eyes widened and he looked at his sister. She didn't say anything but Morty knew she was dying to know. "So... is that wailing in the background the ghost?" Morty said, noting a girlish scream through the speaker. "No darling that's you father, JERRY SHUT THE F*CK UP ALREADY!" Morty cringed and held the phone away from his ear for a moment. "Uh we'll be right over Grandma." He said tentatively. "Alright sweetie! Thank you!" Before Morty could respond, Y/N hung up on him and Morty turned to face his sister. "Well?" She asked, arms open as if Morty was going to crap actually physical knowledge into her lap. But he could only shrug. "I got no idea." He said. Summer rolled her eyes. "Ugh the one time I'm out with Grandpa and something exciting happens at home.
A/N: Hope you all enjoyed this week's chapter! Sorry I don't have a lot to say in my authors note right now. Like I really am at a loss of words to say. Nothing interesting has happen in my life to warrant making a comment about. So I guess I'll just say I like cats and leave it at that.
