Her Own Fairytale

"Right here baby". The voice came from behind her. As soon as Avni turned, she met the gaze of the one person she has been wanting to see for the past hours. There he was, standing tall, charming and so handsome. He was wearing white cream colored trousers with a white shirt and a beautiful smile on his face. Due the air being slightly breezy, his shirt was clinging to his body and his hair was looking windswept making him look sexier, if that was even possible. He had never looked better in Avni's eyes before. Without wasting anytime, Avni rushed into Neil's arms that opened to receive her.

Avni cannot really tell for how long she has been standing there in Neil's arms and Neil is not really in a hurry to let her go, he is too happy to hold her there for eternity. As they were standing there with Avni still in Neil's arms she started blubbering some incoherent words and sentences which were not understandable to Neil, but he let her cry and say what she was saying. After a while of both of them standing there, Avni loosened her hold from his waist and transferred her hands to his shirt collar. Grabbing it, she started shaking him while saying

Avni - why Neil?

Neil – why what Avni?

Avni – why did you do all these for me?

Neil was scared as he really isn't understanding anything at the moment. When Avni ran into his arms and embarrassed him earlier, he felt so happy seeing her reaction to him, that definitely meant that she liked the surprise he gave her. But then, as soon as she was in his arms, she started crying and sating some things that he could not understand because she was kind of mumbling. He could feel his heart break at that moment because Avni crying because of the surprise he gave her was definitely not a good sign. It meant that she so much dint like the surprise that it made her cry. Neil felt horrible for making her cry. He felt like kicking himself, at least at home she was just sad, she was not crying and here he effortlessly made her cry. "Idiot!" he rebuked himself before saying to Avni

Neil – Avni I am sorry, I dint know that you would find the surprise so horrible that it would make you cry. I am so sorry baby. I swear Avni, I swear I dint mean to make you cry, I only wanted you to be happy, for you to smile and forget about all that has been happening at home. I have been noticing since our return from Goa that you have been looking very sad, that is the only reason why I planned it. But it's okay if you didn't like it, we can go back home immediately, but please stop crying Avni, you know that I can't see you cry baby, please.

Avni was astonished, she couldn't believe it. She just can't believe that Neil thought that she didn't like the surprise. Seriously for a smart top cop like Neil, she is finding it unbelievable. That was what he read in hear reaction? Really?

Avni – why do you love me so much?

Neil was confused, how can Avni ask him that question? Is that even a question?

Neil – huh? What do you mean by that?

Avni – I meant what you heard Neil, why do you love me so much? How can you love me so much Neil?

Neil – what type of a question is this Avni? How can I not love you so much?

Avni – that's not the answer to my question Neil

Neil – its simple Avni, I love you so much because you are you Avni. How can I not love you so much when every time I look into your eyes I find more reasons to love you more?

Shaking her head a little bit, Avni wiped her the tears in her eyes with her hand before she said

Avni – no please don't Neil. Please don't love me so much. I have been broken and hurt so much in life that if someone says they love me, I don't believe them.
