Natsu's POV:

One week's gone by since mating season Started, and it's been four days since I last saw snowflake. Happy came by and gave me some food yesterday, and a message from Him letting me know the mission was going to take longer than he'd like so not to worry. But that was yesterday, and my heat was getting worse. I couldn't move, I don't have any magic, and I don't know if I can go Etherious right now. I'm scared, I'm vulnerable and weak like this. I want my mate, I need him. Right now. My senses are on overdrive, more than normal, and even the soft sigh of a rabbit outside feels like someone's driving a knife into my ears. It hurts. So much. Make it stop.

A louder noise makes me flinch. This smell. It's not Gray, but I know them. There's two people coming up the track from town. It's Sting and Rogue. I force back a needy whine and burrow deeper into my duvet. What are two dominant Slayers doing near my nest? What did they want?

"NATSU? We know you're there. We need to talk. Now!" Sting yells, his voice driving a huge wedge of pain into my ears. Will he shut up? I ignore them. Sting is dominant, he has it easy. Rogue? Well, he doesn't smell, so he's either mated or good at hiding his scent. I couldn't smell him at all. I only know he's there because I can hear his breathing and his soft voice.

Rogue mutters something to Sting, so quiet not even my painfully enhanced senses could hear. Sting apparently agrees, because Rouge raises his voice to a normal speaking level, loud enough for me to hear, but not painfully loud. I'm glad he didn't shout.

"Natsu? I've told Sting to stay outside. I'm coming in, ok? I have Gray's door key, so I'm not going to break the door down. I'm coming in, I have to talk to you." Rogue tells me, as I hear his footsteps near my front door. He doesn't raise his voice, he's quiet, almost as if he knows... but how can he know what a sub feels like unless he's one himself?

Rogue let's himself in, closing and locking the door behind him. He makes his way to my room and knocks softly, like he's barely even brushing his hand against the door. He asks politely if he can come in, waiting for a reply. I growl defensively, feeling vulnerable and scared. I don't want to let a strange scentless Dragon Slayer into my room. I whine, scared to let him see me so weak, but needing to know what dragged the twin dragons halfway across fiore to talk to me.

Rogue comes into my room, a soft look on his emo face. He closes the door behind him and turns to me, with his shoulder facing me. I'm glad he doesn't face me head on, it's threatening when I'm like this. I stay curled up in pain, on the defensive. Rogue sighs softly. His eyes are sad and fearful.
