Our Christmas concert was Thursday night. It was really good, although it was really short, too. Thirty minutes at most. One of Mr. Davis's shoes was untied for half of the performance. It was great xD. The beginner band played through their songs first. The songs were really short, but the beginners were adorable. Then, the choir sang. One girl was really getting into her part. Mom, CS, and The Accomplice were the only male singers, but they did pretty good lol.
Then, it was on to Advanced Band. We played:
⚫ A Holiday Processional
⚫ Jingle Bell Rock
⚫ Canto
(I couldn't find a video for A Holiday Processional)
This was the closest I could find for Jingle Bell Rock.
And then there is Canto. This one is my favorite.
A lot more people came to the concert than what I expected. That's good, I guess. We had to wear nice clothes, so I was in a black dress with a cream colored belt and cream trim on the bottom of it. I had fun at the concert. Also, did you know that most mechanical things like lights buzz/hum at a concert B-flat? Mr. Davis learned that and told us in arena rehearsal when we got quiet enough to hear the lights buzzing.
So our Christmas tree was updated.
This took me a while to get until Mr. Davis explained.
Yes, we now have a cowbell and a triangle in the tree.
They also put up a smaller tree...
We also put up the light orb
And finally, there has been a Dumble on the office door forever lol.
We were also looking at the plaques that said 1000-01 and we realized there's not just ONE but THREE! Seems a little suspicious...
