He exists for Himself

is He a selfish thing?
why, surely He cannot be!
they've told me, over and over again,
He loves you and He forgives you,
so trust Him and He will do you good.
but He never does. He never does.
is He a selfish thing?
i think so. no man would cherish the love He receives like He does.
no man would ask for love and trust and forgiveness like He does.
no man is as foolish as He is, creating life forms in the palms of His hands,
only to grip them too tightly, to have them shatter at His hands,
and blame mankind.
He blames his creation for its death,
when He has blood on His hands.
He blames the newborn for being born
when it did not ask for life.
He blames the child for doing wrong
when it wasn't taught the right way.
He blames the wrong ones.
He is a selfish thing.
no man is as foolish as He, to believe a lie such as love will overcome.
love is nothing.
love is nothing to Him.
love is nothing to Him, if it's not for Him.
only hatred remains, only jealousy remains.
evil sprouts from the ashes of mankind,
when He was too proud to take it back,
too proud to say he made a mistake.
when mankind burned itself on something too hot, because it didn't know any better, because He didn't teach it,
He got mad.
because He wants perfection.
and He wants admiration.
therefor, nothing is His fault.
He is a selfish thing.
we sit on our hands and knees and we
pray to Him.
we clasp our dirtied fingers together and we
close our tired eyes
and our first instinct is to
pray to Him.
as if, He could take the weight from our bodies.
as if He was that kind.
but He is a selfish thing!
He is a selfish thing!
He doesn't exist for the pleasure of human kind.
He doesn't exist so we can walk the earth with a better understanding of why.
He doesn't exist so we can wake up and know we are being looked out for.
He doesn't exist so we can tell our children to always do the right thing.
He doesn't exist for the better of Mother Nature Herself.
He exists because He, in Himself, is a creation upon creations
that was corrupted from the beginning,
a sin from the start.
and He exists for Himself.
He exists for Himself.
He exists for Himself.
