angel in town

if i said there was an angel in town,
what would your mind conjure up?
Whose face would construct out of the fog of your thoughts?
i bet every single one of you would see that girl in your mind.
who is it-i wonder.
some of you, i could guess exactly who you saw; others, i would never know.
this angel, she's pure and she's bright,
and if you look out your window,
she is lighting up the night.
i wonder, who did you see?
will you ever tell me?
there's an angel in town, and god, she is breathtaking.
there is a halo hovering if you can stare long enough without getting caught.
there are feathery little wings if you can sneak a glance behind her back.
there is a great big smile underneath her lips if you can make her laugh hard enough.
there is a beating heart inside of her if you can show her what love means.
there is a heavy beating heart inside of her, and she's waiting for you to reach in there and grab it.
there's an angel in town,
can you see her? can you guess who it is?
are you getting ready to fall in love,
or have you already fallen for her?
