Meathead Monologue

after the heartbreak comes the healing

if you look in front of you, look really hard and squint your eyes, you can see the shards of a broken heart.
you can see where the cracks begin and end, and you can see just how they might fit back together.
if you can find some glue, if you look really hard for some, if you put your mind to it, you can fix it.
you can piece yourself back together if you really must. if you've been waiting for someone else to come and pick those pieces up off the ground-stop.
stop waiting and start doing.
start glueing and start healing. as soon as the shards become one again and the heart is at its whole, the veins will burn themselves into the surface, and begin their life again.
if love makes your head spin, let your heart get broken once or twice.
and as soon as you've realized the shards in front of you, find the glue, and fix yourself.
no one else can piece a heart they weren't intending to hold gently in the first place back together.
that's your job, my love.
