A few months passed since Y/N started working at Western Summit High, and everybody adored her.

The other teachers, the students, the janitors, even the lady in the buffet.

Everybody.

But, there was someone else who had certain feelings for her.

And I'm pretty sure Y/N felt the same.

------------

Y/N was in the buffet, enjoying a coffee and a conversation with Anna, the English teacher.

''Remember, pay close attention at math and literature, you have a quiz today, okay sweetheart?'' Nathan told his daughter, Susan, as they entered the buffet.

''Yeah dad, I know.'' Susan sighed.

''And don't forget to ---'' he stopped mid-sentence when his eyes landed on Y/N.

God, she's gorgeous, he thought as he continued staring at her.

Susan looked in the direction her dad was staring and giggled when she saw it was Miss Y/N.

''Dad!'' she nudged him in his stomach, and he finally snapped out.

''What?'' he asked turning his head to his daughter.

''You're staring. It's creepy.'' Susan laughed.

''Oh, yeah. Uh, what was I saying?'' he asked, looking at Susan.

''Geez dad, just go talk to her.'' Susan rolled her eyes.

''Don't give me advice, don't you have some friends waiting for you right there?'' Nathan asked, pointing in the direction of her friends.

''Yeah, yeah. See you later dad.'' Susan said and walked away.

-------------------------------

''Alright kids, your homework is at page 37 in the text book. You have points 12, 13, and 17, and don't forget, I'll grade it. And somebody give Mary the homework. She is sick today. Off you go.'' Y/N said as she noted the homework on the white board and ushered the students out of her class.

''Bye Miss Y/L/N.'' every student saluted her as they walked out.

''Bye kids! Have a nice holiday!'' she slammed the door after the kids left.

Finally!, she thought as she dropped herself in her chair.

Don't get me wrong, she adored working with these kids, they were her smartest class, but they were asking so many questions and talking so much that they were becoming tiring.

She undid her bun and left her hair flow free, as she ran her hand through it.

She groaned as she rubbed her neck, the stress finally talking.

It was winter break and she was more than excited for the holiday.

She leaned back in her seat and relaxed.

''Enjoying the free time, Miss Y/L/N?'' she heard a deep voice asking.

She turned around and saw Nathan in the threshold, holding two cups, that gorgeous smile on his face.

''As you should do too. What are you doing here so late?'' she asked, quirking an eyebrow.

''Mind if I join you?'' he asked, ignoring her question.

''Not at all'', she answered and he walked in the classroom, dragging a chair at her desk.

''I thought you may need this.'' he smiled as he sat down and handed her the coffee.

''Thanks. Those kids are tiring.'' she whined and took a sip of coffee.

He chuckled and leaned backwards in his seat.

''Hey, is Susan paying attention to your classes?'' he asked, looking at her.

''Yeah, she's a very smart kid. She always asks about the subject we're talking, she's asking for extra work... She's a very good kid.'' Y/N nodded, smiling.

''Wait, my Susan is paying attention? And she's asking for extra work? MY Susan?'' he asked, taken aback.

''Yeah, she's got a lot of potential.'' she nodded again.

''No teacher has EVER made my Susan pay attention. Are you magic?'' he joked, but he kept a straight face.

''As much as I know, I'm not magic'', she laughed.

TIMSKIP.

''Oh, God, look at the clock, I've gotta go. I've been here for too much time'', Y/N said and looked at her watch. It was 20:10 already, she didn't observe how the time passed when she was with Nathan.

''Damn, I need to go too. Hey, maybe I can walk you home?'' he asked, raising his eyebrows, ''Your house is just a few blocks away from mine.'' he offered as they both sat up.

''Yeah, that would be great. Just let me grab my things and we can go.'' she smiled.

She grabbed her stuff and took her coat on, taking her bag.

''Ready to go Miss Y/L/N?'' Nathan asked and offered her his arm, smiling.

Her cheeks turned a bright shade of red as she nodded and accepted his arm.

They walked out of the building and passed through the park, since it was faster to reach her home.

They enjoyed their walk and talked about everything, about the school, about work, about what they both liked doing, and they discovered that they have pretty much in common.

Y/N felt attracted to him.

Of course, who wouldn't? He was handsome, charming, smart and he was a very nice man. He was responsible and he listened to her ramblings.

He was the so called 'dream guy'.

They talked and walked until they reached her home.

Nathan felt it was the right moment to tell her.

''Hey, Y/N. I wanted to tell you something.'' Nathan said as he awkwardly scratched his neck.

''Yeah, sure.'' she nodded.

''Look, I have this weird feeling every time I'm around you. I can't quite control what I'm saying and doing when I'm around you. I feel... weird, around you.'' he tried to explain what he felt.

''I'm afraid I don't understand, Nathan'', she said confused.

''Let me show you'', he said and cupped her face, pinning her to her door and kissing her.

Y/N was a bit taken aback, but returned the kiss right away, winding her fingers at the nape of  his neck.

When they finally parted, their lungs were screaming for air.

''Oh, that's what you were trying to tell me.'' she breathed out.

''Hhmmm'', he hummed in response, brushing her hair out of her face.

''I need to go.'' she whispered, looking in his eyes.

''Me too. I promise I'll call you for a date tomorrow.'' he whispered back, smiling softly.

Before he left, Nathan pecked her lips three times, then walked away, smiling like an idiot.

Y/N took a deep breath, and entered her house.

That was great.
