Everybody was in the meeting room, looking at the video that was playing on the screen.

You and the rest of the Avengers just came back from a mission, which ended in disaster.

Everybody blamed it on Tony. 

It wasn't his fault. He only tried to save those people...

''Tony, civilians in crossfire!'' you yelled into your ear piece.

''I'm on it!'' 

Tony sped to the two children that were hiding behind the car and took both of them, flying them away from the danger zone. 

Tony launched a missile to the Hydra's genetically modified monster, in attempt to hit it, but the monster dodged it, and the missile hit the building that was behind the creature.

''Oh, no...'' Rhodie said, looking at the collapsing building.

''NO!'' Tony yelled and attempted to hold the building, but it collapsed around him.

Tony's heavy breathing could have been heard over the video.

''No, no, no, no, no, no, no... Nooo!'' He yelled and a sound like crying could be heard.

You looked at Tony, to see how he was holding on, through watching the scenes again.

He was covering his ears, like a little child, and his eye were squeezed shut.

You reached out and took the remote, turning off the screen.

''Okay, I think that's enough of it'' you said as you placed the remote out of everybody's reach.

''Are you alright?'' you whispered to Tony, handing him a glass of water.

''I'm trying'' he replied and took the glass, and drank it.

''When did the heroes became criminals? Since when is your job to destroy everything in your way? Because of your actions, three hundreds and sixty eight people died yesterday. How am I going to be able to explain this to the US government, which, by the way, is putting a knife at my throat for you?'' Fury barked looking at all of you.

''Look, we only tried to do our job. We did everything we could'' Rhodie said.

''No, Rhodes, you didn't do everything you could! If you did everything you could, no one would have died! You are all responsible for this!'' Fury barked.

''Don't blame it on everyone. It was Stark's idea to launch the missile at that monster! I could've handle it, but he had to play the hero again! I thought you learned something from the Ultron events Stark, you're nothing but a stubborn, useless, spoiled brat!'' Steve spat, anger visible in his tone.

He sat up from his chair and took a few threatening steps towards Tony, who sat up too and held a firm position.

''A hero? Like you? What did you do in this mission, huh? What did you save? How many monsters did you kill? Let's make a count: I killed 36, Y/N killed 30, Bruce killed 25, Rhodie killed 15, Thor killed 16, Clint killed 5, Natasha, that has no superpower, by the way, killed 10. And you? How many did you kill, huh? Please, do tell'' Tony said, glaring at Steve.

Steve laughed in mockery, and looked at Tony in disgust.

''Do you think you are the most important member of the team? You are nothing but an egocentric bastard! You are nothing without your suit. You are only Howard's biggest mistake!'' Steve spat.

''Steve! Stop it! What's wrong with you?!'' you yelled, stepping between the two of them.

''You stay out of this'' Steve said and pushed you aside.

''Don't touch her!'' Tony yelled and pushed Steve with force.

Steve wanted to punch Tony, but stopped when Fury yelled loud enough to make everyone jump.

''Everybody quiet now! Sit your asses down!'' Fury yelled, and Steve stepped back, sitting down in his chair, Tony sat down too, and you did it as well.

''Tony Stark is no longer recommended for the team! Steven Rogers is no longer the leader, and Y/N Y/L/N is no longer assigned with weapon development!'' Fury yelled in anger.

''Not recommended?'' you repeat, glaring.

''Y/N, sit down. You're going to make it worse'' Natasha said, but you ignored her.

''Everyone watching TV, everyone in the streets, and everyone on the hellicarrier watched Tony fly the nuke into the portal, and every single one of them cheered when he disappeared from the view. Except you and me, Nick. You called Tony to take that nuke, because he was the most capable to do it. You knew he was most likely to die, yet you did it. He flew the nuke in the portal, and he survived, he saved the world. And now, you're telling me that he is not recommended? If that kind of people is not recommended for the team, then I'm leaving'' you said and placed your badge and security pass on the table.

''Agent Y/L/N'' Fury began, but you interrupted him.

''Just Y/N. I'm no longer working here. Have fun saving the world alone'' you spat and stormed out of the meeting room.

Tony sat up and ran after you, leaving the others in a heavy silence.

A/N: I write this because I recently found posts on social media saying that Tony is a villain, and that he shouldn't be part of the team. Tony is just trying to do what's better, what kind of stupid asshead can't see that? Sure, he made mistakes, but aren't them a proof that he's trying? Leave the poor baby alone...
