Chapter 36

Previously:
-I noticed the drawers.

After a short break she looked back at Zacky getting a bit louder.

- It was a picture of you and him.
Smiling.
You and
and "scary guy".

Chapter 36:
There was an awkward silence after those words left Sarah's mouth.

Zacky was playing with his hands and he was bitting in his cheeks and lips. It didn't seem like he was feeling the awkward atmosphere because he seemed to be in very deep thoughts. He just looked like he was feeling really uncomfortable.
Finally his eyes got cleared and he turned back to Sarah whose eyes had been going between her hands and Zacky the whole time.
His voice came out a lot calmer than his look was which kinda shocked Sarah for a moment.
-Why do things I have to tell you always get pushed, Sarah?
His voice was bitter and sarcastic this time.
It seemed like he was fighting with his inner self.
-Like I plan things, I make up a timeline in my head.
I do it for a damn reason!

With the last sentence his eyes turned darker and he had punched the desk in front of them hardly.

Sarah frooze right there and her paranoid self started taking over her brain.

Were her thoughts getting reality?

She moved away slowly not getting her eyes off Zacky.

He was covering his eyes with one of his hands and he was telling her to stop with the other one
-No,no Sarah please !
He stopped when he realized he didn't control his voice.

He took a deep breath before he tried again.
-Im sorry...
He stopped once again.

-Please don't be scared.
He said with a worried voice.
And this again proved his fight with himself.
He looked at her with obvious pain and sadness in his eyes.

- You know, it's just...
It's...
He closed his eyes slowly.

Sarah could see how hard he was struggling, but after all his actions she preferred to stay silent till he could explain himself.

Again, he took a deep breath and with a quick move he opened his eyes and started to talk.

-I've never talked about this to anyone.
I've never explained to anyone
And No one knows.

He let out a relieved sound.
-Its easier to do it without thinking.

He laughed softly.

Sarah just answered with a faked smile.

"Other than you...You already know since the beginning..."
Oh, how bad he wanted to say that out loud, but no, not yet at least.
-Since you...
He stopped to look at her hands.
And Sarah could spot the sadness and guilt in his eyes.

-Since you deserve to know...and since I was planning on telling you anyway...Im just going yo do that now.

Sarah was just watching him silently without being able to let out a word.
She was watching the leader of the highest team shaking just because he had to tell her something.
-Do...
He stopped and he let out a sound of anger.
"Come on Zach, just tell it.Quickly. No thinking.
Go!

-Do you remember the story I told you?

Now he was talking as if they were having a casual conversation.

-Oh!
The one about the two boys with the unnatural powers, I mean.

Sarah was looking at him as if he was an alien or something. It took her some moments to realize that it was a question asked to her.

-Oh...err...
The one about the guys creating the bad ?

She saw that this detail changed something In Zackys eyes so she quickly added something to not get him into a weird status again.

-What about them?
She bit her underlip as she added a cute "Zach" to make him feel comfortable.

But he didn't seem to care anymore. He looked like he just wanted to get rid of it now.

With a bitter voice and shaking legs he continued:
-That was me.

And Scary G-
He cleared his throat

Sorry for this short chapter after such a long break!
But school leaves me literally no time :(
