as you stood at the other side of the room with brett, who was very clearly hitting on, liam couldn't help but feel extremely jealous. the way you smiled at him and laughed at what he said made liam's blood boil.
mason could see just how angry his best friend was getting and quickly approached him. "liam, buddy you need to calm down."
liam shook his head. "i can't help it. i'm losing the one girl i have ever liked to brett."
"well, how about instead of burning holes into their heads with your eyes, you actually go talk to y/n? she probably doesn't even know how you feel."
liam glared at his best friend before sighing. "fine." and with that, he stormed up to you two.
"brett, mason needs to talk to you. he says it's really important."
brett only nodded and quickly made his way to the boy, leaving you and liam alone. "mason wasn't really looking for him, was he?" you asked.
"nope, i just really wanted to get you alone. i'm just gonna go out and say it." he licked his lips nervously as he looked at you. "will you go out with me?"
you laughed at how flustered he was, his cheeks turning pink at the sight of you laughing at him. he knew it was a mistake to talk to you.
"forget i said anything." he said before starting to walk off. you grabbed his hand before he could get too far, though.
"liam, i'd love to go out with you. i wasn't laughing at you for asking me, i was laughing at how nervous you were. i think it's cute."
he smiled and played with your hand that was holding his. "you think i'm cute?"
"of course i think you're cute."
