'They say true love's the greatest weapon
To win the war caused by pain,
But every diamond has imperfections
But my love's too pure to watch it chip away
Oh nothing real can be threatened
True love breathes salvation back into me
With every tear came redemption
And my torturer became a remedy'○
1 Year And 4 Months Later"Yo this Cali weather different" I say using the end of my shirt to wipe the small beads of sweat off my forehead as I walk in the kitchen with a hand full of groceries.
"Did you get everything I told you to get from the store?" Zara asks and I nod setting the bags on the counter.
"Where yo kids at?" I ask opening up the fridge grabbing a cold bottle of water cracking it open.
"Your kids are upstairs in the playroom doing lord knows what"
"What time you tell everybody to come again?" I ask checking the time on my Rolex. Zara wanted to start a new family tradition to help both sides of our families bond since everybody was legally related now so she planned this little family barbecue. I had gave zara her dream wedding 6 weeks after the twins were born and I can honestly say it was one of the happiest moments in my life.
"5" She replies as I read 4 o'clock on my watch.
"Where moms go ain't she supposed to be helping you" I laugh. Me, kil, and ash all went half and bought my mom a house out here in cali since she said she was getting tired of the newyork weather. Along with buying my mom a house I bought a house in Calabasas for me, zara, and the kids, we alternate houses sometimes we in New York or sometimes we in cali. This summer zara wanted to stay in cali so we flew out here, mia usually let harlem stay with me during the summer so he came with us too.
"We done with everything that's why I told you to get the stuff for the pies so those could be baked fresh, she went upstairs to get a little rest before everybody starts coming" She says and I nod.
"Let me go see what yo kids doing"
"Them yo badass kids" She laughs as I chuckle walking out the kitchen.
Walking upstairs I could already hear they bad ass yelling fucking shit up.
Walking down the hall I walk in the doorway of the playroom seeing toys everywhere and little bodies running around laughing besides harley who was at the little table coloring minding her business.
"Everybody freeze" I tell them and they all freeze in place giggling.
"By the time I come back in here all this better be picked up aight?" I question and they all nod in sync still giggling.
"Why y'all giggling so much?" I ask hearing Mireya quickly walking past the room.
"You freeze too" I tell her and I hear her footsteps come to a stop. Craning my neck back I eyed her suspiciously.
